Jim's POV

Emily's and Jim's Interview

"Soooo we're engaged!" Me and Emily said in unison as she held her hand up to the camera to show off the ring.

"It was so perfect!" She said with a beaming smile.

"We don't want many people to know yet" I announced.

"I mean I obviously have to tell Erin as I want her as my maid of honour!" Emily said excitedly.

I was over the moon at the fact she said yes to marrying me. She'd been giddy all the way home from the airport and she's been messaging me and ringing me like mad as we still don't live together but that soon won't be a problem anymore. I'm going to show her the house after work. I am praying that she loves it like I do.

Emily's POV

I don't think I've ever been happier! I mean I'm marrying the guy of my dreams. We've decided not to tell many people right now, but I need to tell Erin as I want her as my maid of honour. I obviously want to tell Oscar because we always gossip and he'd love it.
Me and Jim left the conference room after our interview and I headed over to Erin's desk.

"Hey, can I talk to you around the back of the building pleaseeee?" I excitedly questioned her.

"Oh sure! Give me 2 mins and I'll meet you there" she said with a smile.

"Okie dokie" I said leaving her desk and making my way around the back of the building.

I sat on the concrete bench playing with my new ring on my finger. I'd been sitting for no longer than a minute when Erin sat next to me.

"So what's the news?" She smiled.

I lifted my hand and showed her the ring on my finger.

"Oh my god! Does this mean what I think it means" she exclaimed.

I just nodded my head with a smile growing. Erin started tearing up and we hugged each other. I broke the comfortable silence and said

"Soooooo will you be my maid of honour?" I questioned

"Of course I will be!" Erin shouted back.

We both hugged each other and let out some happy tears. We walked back into the office and we both sat back down at our desks, Jim looked over to me and placed his hand on top of mine and sent me a soft happy smile.
Work continued and it was nearly 3pm when I decided to tell Oscar, my other best friend in the work place. I went over to his desk, dropped papers off and attached to those papers was a post-it note with the words 'break room now x'. I was anxiously waiting when he walked through the door.

"What did you need?" Oscar chimes.

"I think you should sit" I say sounding all serious.

He takes a seat next to me.

"What's going on" he pipes up sounding concerned.

"I'm engaged" I announced in a hush tone incase someone was listening.

"No way! He did it?" He whispered and shouted at the same time.

"He did" I smiled back at him and tears we forming

"I hate to tell you but I knew" he chuckled.

"How?" I questioned.

"Jim met me after work then told me and how he was going to do it and I cried because I knew you'd love it" he smiled.

I didn't say anything back I just hugged Oscar. He was so amazing. Everything was perfect. Jim and I, my best friends Oscar and Erin, my cat, my job. Absolute bliss. Me and Oscar got back to our desks and carried on with our work. I looked over at Jim who was working a little more than usual, I was staring at him and how attractive he was, wow was I one lucky gal.

"Emily you're staring at Jim again when you could be doing some VITAL work" Dwight announced not breaking eye contact from his screen.

Jim chuckled and I just eye-rolled and carried on with my work.

"Hey honey" Jim said.

He'd now taken to calling me "honey" it just kinda slipped out one day and now he'd call me it now and again.

"Yeah?" I question not taking my eyes of the old computer screen.

"I want to show you something after work, is that okay" he smiled

"That's perfectly okay" I said with a smile.

The rest of the afternoon went slowly, probably because I was hung up on what Jim wanted to tell me.

"Ready to go?" Jim said as he looked over at me standing from his desk.

"Yeah let me just let my coat" I replied getting up, grabbing my bag then grabbing my coat from the coat rack.

We both got into Jim's car as he's my usual ride to work now.

"So where are we headed babe?" I politely ask.

"You'll see" Jim replied with a smirk forming on his face.

We drove for a little while longer before pulling up outside of this beautiful, little run down, home.

"Jim babe, why are we here?" I questioned.

He led me out of the car and opened the door to the house.

"This Em is our new home, it was my parents and they were trying to sell it and I thought it was a perfect opportunity for us" he said with a gleaming smile.

I just looked at him smiling, then I pulled him down to my level and I kissed him.

"One thing, that clown has to go" I said pointing at the horrible picture of the clown situated on the wall.
