I slipped into my favorite pair of black jeans and salmon pink bell sleeved cotton t-shirt. I threw my hair into a bun and wore a gray beanie over it and draped a grey and black scarf around my neck. the weather was slightly cold today.

I didn't feel like wearing my lenses so I wore my oversized thickly rimmed glasses.

I didn't apply any makeup because it was cold and I was too lazy.

Today was our communities basketball finals, Ayaan and Faiz took part in it every year, and I was extremely hyped to watch the match. I couldn't attend the rest of the matches due to having too many appointments since I missed out on a lot during kayas wedding.

"I'm ready!" I spoke once I reached the ground floor.

mama and papa weren't coming, so Aamir was giving me company

"Okay. Lets head out then, yeah?" Ayaan said coming down with Aamir and Faiz on tow

I slipped into my grey knee high boots and stepped out into the fresh air of September.

The four of us got into the car and drove off to the ground.

Aamir and I took our seats in the second row with our hands full of popcorn, hot dogs and drinks.

I was excited beyond words!

"Arza?!" I heard a voice speak from behind me.

I turned around to be welcomed to the sight of a surprised Lana.

"Lanaaaa!" I yelled lowering my voice towards the end when I saw people turn to look at me. Oops.

"Hey sir, do you mind if we switch seats, please." Lana asked putting on her puppy dog eyes for the elderly man seated next to me

He laughed nodding his head.

"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?" Lana asked me excitedly once she was seated next to me

"My brothers are playing! and also because I love basketball!! How about you!?" I asked excited. Something was in the air, I was too hyped.

The cold wind blew across my face making my cheeks go numb.

while I waited for Lana to reply, I looked out to the court as the players started coming out one by one.

Lana spoke while my eyes were on the field looking for Faiz and Ayaan.

"That's why I'm here" she said pointing out to a player "number 12, that's Arhaan"

Arhaan?!

My eyes scanned the court for the t- shirt numbered 12.

There he was. He was talking to Ayaan!! They did the weird bro shake and hug thing and then got into position.

weird! Please tell me they don't know each other.

I came out to watch the matches all the time, how had I not noticed him before?

"But how come I've never seen you before? I mean, I come to the matches all the time, we should've bumped into each other at least once!" I voiced my thoughts out to Lana.

"Oh no. Bhaiyya used to live with my aunt here and he attended the private school here too, the rest of us lived in Birmingham until a few months back bhaiyya asked us to move into Kensington." Lana said.

"Ohh. What school did he go to exactly?" I asked praying it wasn't the same school as mine.

"Xaviers." she said
