Chapter 16 (THE END)

Taehyung blinked rapidly in confusion.

He didn't know what to say.

''please forget about Jungkook and fall for me. I promise you I'll be good to you and take care of you. I'll show you the love you deserve'' He whispered.

Taehyung started to panic when Hoseok's face came closer to his.

Their lips almost touched but a hand pushed Hoseok back.

''what the hell do you think you're doing?'' Jungkook growled furiously.

Hoseok put both his hands up and laughed.

''Chill man, I was only trying to prove a point here''

''what do you mean?''

Hoseok looked at Taehyung. ''have some faith in him. he cares about you a lot''

Hoseok stood up and patted Jungkook on the shoulder before leaving the two alone.

Things became painfully awkward when neither of them spoke.

Jungkook sat down next to Tae on the bench and looked at him while the other advoided eye contact.

''how come you suddenly came back? I thought you left..'' Jungkook started.

Taehyung hesitated a little before talking.

''I.. I didn't leave because I wanted to.. I was forced to head back to the palace by my father. He was furious when he found out about us through the news.. he thinks that I'm a shame to the family for being gay and said that I have to marry a girl.. he told me I could never see you again. So I sneaked away, thanks to my mother and grandma'' Taehyung explained, still avoiding looking at Jungkook.

''wait.. so you sneaked away to come find me?''

Taehyung replied with a nod but felt the tears burn in his eyes again.

''Why did you ran away crying then? Why did you let Hoseok comfort you and almost kiss you then?'' Jungkook asked irritated.

He was pissed. He couldn't understand why Taehyung was so careless sometimes.

''I.. I didn't want to Jungkook! I ran away because.. you were with that girl and.. I thought you loved me too.. but now I see that you don't.. and you already moved on and.. and..''

Taehyung was sobbing.

He hid his face behind his palms.

Jungkook's heart broke when he saw the boy next to him crying. This was not what he wanted.

He quickly pulled the crying boy into his arms and hugged him tightly.

He hated how he was always the reason why Taehyung was crying.

''don't ever say that I don't love you because that's not true Tae. And I don't know what went on in that head of yours but I'm not dating that girl. She's a good friend of mine and we haven't seen each other in a while. She's married to another friend of mine''

Jungkook explained.

Taehyung pulled back from the embrace and looked at Jungkook through his watery eyes.

''w-what?''

Jungkook brushed the hair out of Taehyung's face.

''I didn't move on Taehyung.. I never did and I know that I never will. You're the only one in my eyes and in my heart and that will never change''

Jungkook cupped the boys face and brought their lips together.

It was a soft, gentle kiss that made Taehyung want more.
