I hate getting killed.
Almost, I mean.
I guess saying that would be a lie.
And that's probably the last thing that I want to do today...
I felt a person shaking my shoulder, whilst yelling my name
"William! William!", I heard them yell.
Is that the sergeant?
I opened my eyes, to see blurry vision.
Soon enough, it cleared up, showing the sergeant in front of me, with Agents Hyde and Jekyll next to him.
All three of them showed a sigh of relief, and when I looked towards my left, I saw a hole with some blood on it.
I looked to by bottom left and saw a hole with blood spewing out of it, too.
Then I looked towards my bottom right and saw a hole with blood spewing out of it, also
Then I looked towards my right and I didn't see my arm.
I saw just a stub of my forearm.
WHAT. THE HELL.
HAPPENED TO MY ARM.
"Sergeant", I told him.
He looked at me in response.
"What the hell.... Happened to my arm....?", I asked him, a bit raspy.
"You got shot in the arm... And we....", He stopped.
"I KNOW I GOT SHOT IN THE ARM, DAMMIT!", I said, slamming my left hand into the arm.
Then, all I felt was a hit across my face.
He slapped me.
Bold move, Sergeant. I bet you I could kill you right now. Just you watch.
"Sergeant, what was that for?", I asked him, a bit ticked off.
"You were acting like a child."
"WELL I AM A CHILD, GODDAMIT!"
"And I didn't even get to say what I wanted to.", he told.
"But there's an alternative....", He continued.
"What's it called?"
"Autodial Prostheticalmail"
"What the hell is that?", I asked him.
"Basically, a prosthetic. The US research industry has been wondering when they could try it out, but I'll have to get clearance to give it to you, but as long as I can present a strong, compelling case to my higher-ups, then we're good.", he said.
"So what's in it for me?", I asked him.
"Well, you get your arm back, but creation, installation, and rehabilitation will take about twenty-four months."
I don't have that kind of time.
"I can do it in twelve.", I said.
"You realize what that means, right?", he told me.
"I kind of figured. And If I can't, then what about TCoV? You didn't get here fast enough last time, So I hope this Autodial Prostheticalmail can help my firepower."
Maybe I should just call it "ADPM" for short.
Plus, it sounds cooler.
And those twelve months were absolute hell. The Sergeant was right, I was spitting blood every minute, so I was honestly lucky to be alive.
But I also was able to forge a friendship with my ADPM mechanic.
His name's Sato Blythe, and she's a mechanic from the US' ADPM project. He's one of the first mechanics of the US' new "idea", but it's more of a technological advancement than an idea.
He's my primary mechanic, but when he's not here, I have Abigail Lykke is my second-hand mechanic. She was with Sato when I was in the operating room right next to my boy, Sato.
Meanwhile, for school I just had to take the on-line lessons, while telling my friends lies that I was sick or some crap. It hurt my personal honor, but for the sake of the world, I think i'm fine.
Totally fine.
____________________________________________________________
So, with a time skip of about 13 months, that's enough time for William get used to his ADPM, and for TCoV to devise a plan.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Let's get this [sh]it going.
