So I Guess History DOES Repeats Itself

It smelled like wind...

and rain.

And I saw a picture of me, and multiple people in front of a pedestal.

Oh great, this again.

"No, not This again", A voice said behind me.

I turned around and saw this old guy, who was levitating whilst sitting in a cross-legged formation.

"Well, who are you?", I asked him.

"I go by many names", He told me.

"So we've got a smart guy, huh?", I told him.

"Smart guy isn't something that i'd use to call you. Not me.", he told me.

"So why are you here?", I asked him.

"Because. This is your final chance.", he stated.

"At what? Not dying?", I asked him.

"Precisely. Because I know you've got people waiting for you.", he told.

"And what is that supposed to mean?", I asked.

His stare turned grim.

"You still have a chance in life. Unlike me, you have people waiting for you on the other side.", the old man said.

Another figure appeared next to him.

"And we can't keep using our lives to fuel your ability to return to the real world.", that person said.

"So then we're all sacrificing our souls to make sure that something like that never happens again.", another figure said.

"Wait, why? Why do all of you care so much?", I asked.

Then I heard Dad's voice.

"Because Family supports Family, William.", Dad said.

"Damn straight", grandpa said, appearing next to dad, patting him on the shoulder.

"So what's this death-prevention thing?", I asked.

"And who's this old-ass guy levitating?", I continued asking.

"Well...", Dad said.

"To put it simply....", Grandpa continued.

"We all have- or had this power that we're all talking about.", big brother told me.

"Big Bro? Is that really you?", I asked him.

"Yeah, remember that crash that dad told you I got in? Surprise....", he continued. me, arms open.

This is the shittiest and bestest family reunion that i've ever had.

"But what is this 'Power'?", I asked him.

They all looked down.

"It's been different for each member.", Dad said.

"Great. Another mystery.", I said.

The man levitating then spoke, "I was the first of this lineage that your father and grandfather speak of."

"My power was telekinesis, as presented by my levitation.", He said.

"Mine was the ability to conjure an avatar, one that I could not only control, but also had a personality. He was kind of like my Partner that I could trust. Besides my wife, I mean.", Grandpa said.

We all laughed.

"I couldn't combine with the avatar, like your dad, but he was powerful nonetheless.", he continued.

Dad then said, "As the old man said, unlike him, I could actually combine with my avatar, along with that, he was a lot stronger than dad, but we never really tested it."

Brother then talked, "And you already remember mine: My power was super speed. You could almost call it teleportation, but I guess it's just a matter of prospective."

I took a deep sigh.

"So then I guess It takes it back to me? Yet another fighter in this mess?", I asked.

Dad said, "We've been watching over you, and fret not; you're not alone. We've all had to deal with troubles in life."

Brother then got closer to my ear, "And He means romance problems, too."

"But like any other family, we'll always be in here", Grandfather said, pointing towards his heart with his thumb.

"Well, that's good to hear", I said.

I turned towards the bright light that was behind me, and then turned back around

"Wait! I HAVE SO MANY MORE QUESRTIONS!", i said, getting pulled into the light.

They all just waved with smiles on their faces.

Brother yelled, "THEN DO IT YOURSELF, LAZY SHIT!"

How considerate of him.

I was then transported back into TCoV's lair, with a  few different things.

Why did my arms feel so light?

And why does time seem to go... slower....

Like when I command it to?

I took a deep sigh, holding the head of a member of the Confederacy, throwing him into the wall.

Let's get this over with.

I can still remember the last thing that Reynolds said to me.

And I was ready to reciprocate those feelings, as soon as I could beat the snot out of these guys.
