It had been seven hours since TaeLyn had been admitted. Jin stood above them in the watch room with Joon, holding each other as they watched their only daughter's life hanging by a thread. Many times had a machine beeped in alert and caused the worried parent's hearts to drop, Jin's brain analyzing what could be the problem and speaking out loud. He had insisted on being the one to perform surgery on TaeLyn but his dear friend wouldn't allow due to the emotional attachment.

Jungkook had been bobbing his knee constantly as he saw the number of doctors and nurses coming in and out of the surgery room, decrease. She had flatlined for a small second, but it quickly returned before they could attempt to bring her back to life. Both babies had fallen asleep and were watched over by Taehyung's grandmother as she, too, waited for news. Taehyung's eyes couldn't stop shedding tears and his lips couldn't help the occasional whimpers leave his mouth when his thoughts fueled his worse fear.

Yoongi stared at the ground, emotionless, while Jimin sniffled in his sleep after crying so much. It's 5 AM and nobody but the kids and Jimin had gotten a bit of sleep. Hoseok had his eyes closed but he wasn't sleeping. He was praying, something he never did.

Praying for the life of his sister that had been at risk since she was born. Apart from his two little brothers, she was someone he treasured more than anything in the world. The only sister he has, the sweetest thing that never bugged him but only stayed by his side silently since she came home with Jin. She only wanted Hoseok, no matter how small she was. Even up till now, she always needed him.

When many began to feel sleep dawn on them, at almost 7 AM, Seokjin and Namjoon came down from the watch room while the doctor simultaneously walked out of the surgery room. Everyone stood up, huddling around the doctor in a bunch.

"Mina—"

"Dr. Kim," she sighs heavily, removing the cap around her hair. "You can breathe now, and so can she." Many sighs were released, their hearts becoming lighter. "She'll be on the machine for until she learns to breathe on her own. We will remove the tube when she does learn. For now, she will be moved to the ICU for recovery. She can't receive visits now due to the air she breathes since her lungs are very delicate, especially after this current event, we need her air to be purified and not exposed to anything that may worsen her state." Seokjin closes his eyes and melts into the comfort of his husband as tears fall down his cheeks. "We will also take extreme precautions. And also, Jin?" The man lifts his head and looks at his co-worker. "Joon, Jin, it may be time that you start looking for a donor... or a funeral home." Everyone's life crumbled to the ground the moment she said that. "TaeLyn caught pneumonia, there was water in her lungs and the shape of her lung has become distorted. She can breathe normally but only for so long. And it isn't just the sicknesses she picked up last night but its been coming for a long time... and you know this." Of course, they knew this was coming, they just didn't think it'd come this early. Before she could finish high school before she could go to college. Before she could accomplish anything every other classmate of hers would get to experience. Jin sniffled, and Taehyung sobbed into Yoongi's shoulder. "H-how long will she be in intensive care?" TaeLyn's other half questioned. Mina looked at Jungkook and smiled softly. "If all goes well, the least is a week and the most is a month." She felt for the young man. Han Mina had seen them at their time of birth and also experienced what Jungkook did, even as a baby. She hoped that he still had that same will he had when he was a baby.

The doctor walked away, and Taehyung ran off. He took the stairs. His legs burned with how fast he moved but he didn't care. He deserved to feel the pain after what he's done to her. Jungkook saw him run off and didn't know what to do. A part of Jungkook wanted to hug his friend. The other part wanted Taehyung to feel the pain he felt. After what was done to his sister, Taehyung deserved to feel pain. He might not ever be able to express himself and beg his sister for forgiveness. But Jungkook wasn't any better than Taehyung. He too had hit his sister too hard.

Why not have both traitors be in their own comfort?

The wind was blowing softly, slapping Taehyung with the chilly breeze. He sat on the ledge at the top of the hospital, above the Hospital's sign. His tears left a trail that dried instantly with the wind. If only the wind could also muffle the sounds of Taehyung's sobs, and were the cause of his body shaking violently.

"Taehyung." The boy didn't move. "Get away from there." It made Jungkook nervous to see him sitting so casually by the edge of the building. Taehyung softly smiled, letting his head drop. "The first time I kissed your sister, and I asked her out, she was sitting on the edge of AhRo's apartment building just like this."

Jungkook looked at the ground, suddenly feeling guilty himself. That was the day he made her drive them to see his son, knowing how much TaeLyn dreaded to see the friend that betrayed her. Jungkook took her there, knowing he had fucked AhRo and betrayed his own blood. Knowing AhRo would not be friendly and still took her side in arguments.

The younger's legs moved on their own, walking towards the edge. It wasn't till he stood on the edge, a few feet away from Taehyung that he spoke. "We're both guilty for fucking the wrong girls and making the worst decisions, aren't we?" Jeongguk looked at the ground. "We should both feel the pain we do now cause we did my sister wrong. We hurt her in ways we shouldn't have. Don't we deserve to feel like we shouldn't keep going? Especially when these might be her last moments."

Only then did Taehyung look at his best friend as he slowly moved closer to the edge.

"JEONGGUK..."
