"Alex?" Thomas spoke in disbelief, "No! It's been so long, first off, and secondly: There's no way you could be the culprit!"

Questioner let the name flow through his mind, correlating it to something. He was sure he had heard the name from somewhere...

"Wait, you mean Alex as in the guy Project knew in their old school?" Writer looks over his notes, confirming his suspicions, "Wait, so how come they're Mystery?!"

"Because it was an act." Questioner stated, "An act to show that the choices we've picked have led to the wrong outcome."

"You okay, dude?" Thomas asked, concerned by the face Questioner gave. It was a face he had seen all too often on Project: A face of giving up.

Suddenly, Alex let out a groan, "Y'know, that worked out surprisingly well. I guess Project was right once more with what I should do..." He looked up, and gave a smile, "Hi, I guess I can give up my façade, huh? Well thank god for that! Project is way too different from me!"

Without the mask, Alex seemed like a regular person, someone who practically did normal stuff. He seemed to be slightly sleep-deprived, and the hair under his wig needed a slight wash. His voice seemed much more chill and laid back, yet with a loud side to it. Completely different to how he spoke with the mask on. Questioner was now able to notice how tall he was, and yet how weak he really was as well. It seemed as though Alex was just a person who got dragged into the wrong stuff.

And yet he was chuckling away to himself.

"What's funny?" Ridley demanded. "Oh, not much, just remembered this funny video. Man, some gamers can be hilarious! Oh, do you know who R T-"

"Dude come on! Tell us what we want to know!" Writer demanded just as furiously. Alex let his smile slip away, and grew more serious, "Well, what do you want to know? You caught Mystery! The one who seemed as though they controlled everything. You guys just didn't think about the consequences... For every commander, there is a captain. Project is the captain, but I am just a commander." Alex told them, and then began to smile once more, "They were the one to tell me what to do, to say what to say so that everything went as it should. I don't know what they meant by 'option 413j' or anything like that! I just helped a friend.

"I never meant for Optimist or Will to get killed, and Pessimist will be dealt with on those terms. That was an error on my wording, as I was asked to simplify what Project had told me.

"I did what I was told, I controlled the answers, and made sure that those around were following it all to Project's liking. So, are you going to shoot the messenger?" Alex asked, staring at Writer whilst doing so, tempting him of justice. Writer nearly fell into the trap, when his own ferocious coughing stopped him.

Questioner looked at him, "You doing okay? I mean, the storm's gone, but you still have that cold... maybe we-"

"I'm fine, just over-exerted myself." Writer huffed, glaring at Alex, "So why did you get into this anyways? Surely you would've realised the madness of it all and stopped." He asked Alex, his notepad at the ready.

Alex's smile vanished, and a frown began to appear, "Why would you do something mad? We all have a point in which we can't help but give in. Project wished for me to be a part of this. After reading the letter they had given me before, I had to accept."

"What did the letter say?" Questioner asked, "Was it similar to the one Spencer received?"

"Well, I guess so, but I don't really know much about him. Pessimist is the one who sticks around him, I stay near Danielle and Thomas. You can have the letter if you want; it's in my coat pocket." Alex stated, and nodded his head to the right side. Questioner rummaged through, and soon found a smaller set of papers, around three pages or so, full to the brim with words.
