Tracy's POV.

I waited eagerly to get his answer. It would mean and explain alot about him. He was just about to open up when I saw Mercy coming my way. "Oh, boy." She tugged my arm and hooked her arm in mine and pulled me along with her. I didn't want to leave, not without getting an answer. He was so close to revealing something. So painfully close.
"Wait, hey wait..." That was as much as I could do. My yells got drowned in Mercy's excitement over the Prom decorations. Not this again, I thought to myself.

I looked back one last time. I almost shed a tear for him. He looked lost. He desperately wanted to talk to someone. To open up with someone. He didn't have friends, not that I knew of anyway. The only one he's ever had contact with was Allan, and his gang. Then me. Micheal and his gang was obviously not an option to him. Something told that despite their handshake that day, there was still some enmity between them. Then there was me. He could freely talk to me, but I couldn't be there when he wanted to. I was failing him.

"...you should see the disco ball. It's huge and sparkling,..and the lights,..it was nice game plan..night will be lit... Are you even listening?" She snapped gaining my attention.

"Yes, of course." I replied.
She didn't buy that, instead she raised an eyebrow.

"What was the last thing you heard?"

"We'll have a ball game that night." I replied half convinced it's what she had said.

"Gracious what will I ever do with you," she face-palmed herself, "let's just get our lunch. It might bring back your senses." She continued and led me along the hallway.
At that time I realised I was hungry. So I didn't resist as much. I however made a mental note to look for him later. The ideal of looking and talking to a dangerous assassin wasn't thrilling, but all the same I needed to find out who he was.

We headed to the cafeteria. It was busy as usual. There was quite a queue and more students were joining,  making it even longer. Painfully longer. It'd take us a couple of minutes to finally get our meals.

Mercy sighed. She too saw what we had to pass through.
"Turns out you're not the only one with an appetite." She started. I gave her a frown. "But yours is a crazy unique kind. Very rare, and it occurs to humans. Atleast one person in a whole universe has it." She continued.
I glared at her. Then smiled. She was just being her sweet self. Then we laughed it off earning some looks from those around. Then we headed to join the ever increasing queue.

Allan's POV.

I entered the cafeteria not really because I was hungry. That could wait. Besides I could always ask the cook to smuggle some and bring to me later. What was the fun in eating with the rest in this noisy place when you could always bribe a cook to prepare a special one for you. Then afterwards I would decline to keep my part of the deal. She would never report such a case, she ain't the victim, more of a partner in crime.

However I was looking for the dark haired, humerous and ever smiling girl that had my mind and heart. I dreamt of her last night. We were dancing, gracefully and in synch. I was holding a bouquet of roses, the red ones and a white one at the centre. I remember clearly that I was in  black suit and she wore a lovely white dress. I could still picture how her dress swayed as we danced. Then we stared at each other and slowly leaned forward for a kiss. Closer, closer.

She was humming,  softly at first, then louder and louder, a familiar annoying tune that got more loud. It was at which point I woke up and slammed my alarm clock against the wall. I then closed my eyes so tight trying to re-dream my dream. To re-live the moment. It was in vain however. I regretted so painfully having set that alarm and I vowed never to do it again. Never again will I ever set an alarm clock to wake me up.

Now here I was looking for her. She had to be here. It was the only logical place she'd be, being one with an appetite and all. Then I heard the soft laughter. Fate must be on my side, I thought. She was being served and I went over. I didn't bother that I was cutting the line, nobody complained anyway. No one could. That's how much control I had here.

"Add her some extra chicken."  I said to the cook in charge. She gave me a quizzical look.
Oh goodness, those eyes, I began losing myself.  The cook in charge obliged. I then took mine and followed behind her. She was with a girl only a bit taller than her and who seemed to have acquired Tracy's contagious smile. The girl turned and looked at me. I raised an eyebrow at her and gestured towards a group of girls at a bench, obviously gossiping about something, or someone. Luckily I didn't have to send her away, not physically at least. She got my message.

"Er, I'll head over there, and leave you two to, er..er,  talk. Tracy, don't do anything I wouldn't do." She finished off and left. She had made it a bit uncomfortable for her. But never mind that.
Now's my chance.
