Allan's POV

I was now a confident man. Having survived an ordeal with fate himself.  Now more than ever I was convinced I was fit to survive in this cruel world.
Was it Darwin, yes Darwin.., survival for the fittest.

I left Mark with a plan to dispose the guy. I could have preferred to leave him in an alley all tied up but wouldn't work. He might return.
So we decided to call Maxmillian, my dad's best man in terms security. Honestly if you ask me they are all a useless bunch. They'd know how great in danger my life was up until now.
But with fake identity, fake passport and weaponry the guy would be suspicious enough to be locked in somewhere safe and far.

"Just look at this calliber," Mark marvelled at the items. He avoided touching them however." And the knives, man he sure had it against you." He joked. I only smiled. Deep inside him he was shaking, not wanting to believe it happened but still believing it was all over.

"Call Maxmillian, and use a safe line this time" I called to him and added as I recalled the last time we tried to prank the head of security.
"Where you going? "He asked.
" To claim a prize."I said and headed out.

As I straightened my tux I had only one girl crossing my mind. My girl in blue.
She was seated with her friend Mercy, or so if I recall the name. Even with her seated I could tell the dress was perfect for her.
The vulnerable and quiet girl.
For a moment I was filled with guilt, she probably didn't deserve a guy like like me. Maybe even Jeff was the right one.
But what am thinking. Cool down Allan.

You're not the kind that takes the girls as a prize, especially if she's naive.

A voice in me said.

But tonight you can make an exception, right?
Another said, and unfortunately it was right.

Tracy's POV

"Allan, we were just about you."

"No we weren't." I replied quickly before she could continue.

"So what is it you were saying about me " he asked as he smirked my direction. Mind you he was sitting beside me.

I sent Mercy a glare. Sometimes she can just be unbearable. She assumed me an focused on her remaining bit on the plate while Allan here waited for his answer.
"Nothing, just stuff?" I shrugged.
Nice save,Tracy I congratulated myself.
"What stuff?" He asked.
Or not.
"If you'll excuse I've got stuff to do,"
Mercy said as she rode up to go.

No,no no you're not going anywhere and leave me alone to clear your mess. You started this... I sent her a glare.

She looked at me in a look that seemed to suggest, then you finish this, and behave you two!

Then she left, just like that.
Some best friends lord I swear...

"So what is it you were saying," he asked in an innocent voice.

" Nothing, just ignore her."

Allan's POV.

I decided to stop it s that.

"Where's your date?"

"Dancing," she replied casually and tilted her head. I followed her direction and saw him dancing with a familiar blond from Chemistry class.
For a while it didn't make sense until he raised his hand slightly and gave her a thumbs up. She smiled.
That smile.
There's this thing with girls, just a slight thing and it's enough to send you into fantasy.
A single smile. Or a laugh.

"What?" She questioned and I realized I had been staring too long.

"You okay with him dancing like that." I asked, more of a statement than a question.

She shrugged," it was either he tell her or I do."
This girl is amazing.

"Then you shouldn't be sitted with such a fine tune playing," I said as I stood up.

" What are you doing?"

" The guy intends to ask the lady for a dance" I said as I extended my arm.

"I don't think it's a good idea,I don't usually dance..,"

I lifted her up and didn't let her finish.
We got to the floor and I held her waist. She put her arms round my neck and we moved with the rhythm.

"You do this often, dance I mean?"

"No, just happened to join dance classes in my previous school. "she replied. I found myself staring her face taking each feature into detail.
Her teeth were perfect, snow white and when she smiled I'd wish she stay like that. Her cheeks were soft, and then the eyes, ocean blue. I focused on the jelly lips.

"You're date will get mad" she said

"She's not my date, I just brought her along."

"Isn't it the same thing?"

I just remained quiet.
I could sense the chat was growing more direct.

" Tell me, why did you not want to be my date?"

Silence. For a while I considered taking back what I said.

"If I tell you will be honest?"

"Ofcourse Tracy, why not "
I avoided adding 'anything', who knows what she'll come up with. But how bad can it get..,

"Do you sell stuff, the bad stuff?"

Hearing that almost knocked me off. I regained balance before she could even notice. And she didn't, I think.

"Where did you get that from?"

"Just answer me,"
