Messed Up Kind Of World {Marvel Fanfic} (Discontinued, For Now)

Apparently, I really look dead.

Scott Lang's POV

"So I was at this restaurant right, my brother from another mother, Phil was like 'Yo dude, the new building is like upstate man' and I was like—"

"Luis, Luis..." I started. "I don't need your stories right now."

"Fine.." He groaned. "I sent you a pic."

"Thank you."

"So, through New York or around?" I asked Luis over the phone.

"That doesn't matter man."

"Well, around is quicker." I ran my finger down a road on a map and mumbled. "So here, then there... Right.."

"Bye Luis." I ended the call.

Now that I knew where I had to go, I got back in the car and started driving down the quite empty road. I might have been there once, but my memory wasn't that good.

The day it all happened I was stuck in the quantum realm. Luckily, Luis found me and figured out what to do. Well, after a lot of failed attempts.

Ever since, I had been driving to meet the Avengers, even though this was kind of cool, even I knew this was bad, really bad.

After a long ride with only music blasting in the car, I saw something next to the road. At first, I thought it was a deer or some other hurt animal. I got out to check if it was alive.

I heard a meow. "Oh God, a cat... Don't kill me plz."

And then, with a closer look, I saw that it wasn't a deer, at my feet laid a girl with long black hair.

"Shit."

Beside her, a black cat sat, it had piercing green eyes.

The girl was breathing, she needed help, didn't she...

After poking the girl a few times to make sure that she wasn't awake, I carefully picked her up and placed her in the shotgun seat. The cat casually followed and jumped up in her lap. Creepy.

Dice's POV

My head was aching, the sun glared in my face. I took a deep breath as I opened my eyes, only to immediately close them again.

"Hey?" Someone spoke, a man. "How are you?"

I opened my eyes again, let them adjust to the bright daylight. My eyes quickly flew to the man next to me.

"Who the hell are you?" I didn't know the man, my voice was scared and angry.

"The question is, why the hell was you unconscious on the side of the road?" He responded with the same angry tone, though blended with concern.

I looked at Loki, then back at the man. "I was?" My voice was noticeably softer.

"Yeah..." I thought I could hint sadness in his voice, but that existed in everybody's' voices now.

"Well then, uh, thank you I guess?"

"Are you hungry, because I'm starving." He sighed.

I didn't feel very hungry, but I realized that I hadn't eaten in a while.
I stayed quiet, trying to realize when I last ate.

"Hey?" The man who's name was still unknown tried to get my attention.

"Right sorry, I uh, I don't know." I started. "Tuesday maybe.."

"Wh—" He was cut off by a loud sound.

My eyes immediately focused on something big. I couldn't place what it was, but I could feel Loki's heartbeat quickening.

I knew something happened, but I couldn't remember. When I woke up, I found myself in bed. Loki out of sight.

I hastily sat up and felt dizziness flash over me.

"Ugh," was all I could get out when I tried to speak. My throat felt dry and even though I had just been asleep, I was fatigued.

"Ms Evergreen." I heard a voice from the ceiling. "Your clothes are in the bathroom, please go to the kitchen when you're done."

Surprised by the female voice, I searched for it. I quickly gave up and decided to do as it said.

The bathroom was big and modern, the walls were cleaner than you'd expect. I quickly took a hot shower and dressed. The clothes weren't mine. A big black AC/DC shirt and a pair of light blue jeans.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked pale, hell, even my eyes looked paler than they did before.

With the help of the voice, I made y way to the kitchen. I was immediately met with people staring at me.

Loki looked terrified as he jumped up in my arms. It sent a chill down my spine.

A few seconds later, I realized who they were.
