Since everyone is swooning over the Huntress, I decided to do something different with the game's newest waifu!

You ran.

In the never ending game that was your life, you ran.

The killers were always steady behind you, the hooks waiting for you to trip, to make a mistake, so that you could be offered to the master of this new world you found yourself in.

This time around, you found yourself in a temple of some kind, quite old by the look of it, as it was made of rough stone.

You took no time to consider whether it was a good idea, and jolted into the temple, not daring look back at the killer behind you.

You quickly closed a heavy stone door behind you, and locked the killer outside, successfully saving yourself, for a moment.

After a moment's rest, you went deeper into the temple, and found the inside was opposite to the outside, with gold lining several features of the inner sanctum.

The temple was indeed ancient, and predated any kind of center of worship you could think of.

You came to the conclusion that the temple was of early civilization design, Mesopotamian or Babylonian.

While lost in thought, you heard a scream echo from deeper in the temple.

Fearing that another survivor was in danger, you went into action, running through temple corridors to find the distressed survivor.

You eventually came up to what seemed to be a sacrificial altar of some kind, blood smeared across it, signaling that you were too late to help the distressed survivor.

The blood painted the altar in a darkly foreboding red, giving you a chill unlike any other, that of imminent danger.

And danger their was.

You heard the rattling of a chain in the darkness, your senses keen from your time in this endless nightmare.

You quickly turned, your nerves on edge.

What you saw was both mesmerizing and horrifying.

There stood a woman, tall in stature, her body torn asunder by what could only be described as some kind of disease, her face warped into a horrible visage.

You backed away in sheer terror at the sight of her as she approached you, her ruined garb glistening with the faint glow of it's gold embroidery.

You tripped and fell, but quickly regained yourself and began to crawl away from the woman.

The woman carried a incense burner, with marks and blood showing it as her weapon of choice.

You crawled back until you hit a wall, and hurriedly crawled back to your feet, your ability to speak now unhindered by the intense fear you felt.

You: Beast of this terrible place...state your intentions! Or cut me down here and now!

The woman continued to approach you, her hand reaching out to you.

You: Speak foul creature!

The woman came to your face, her horrid appearance matching her sickly smell.

The woman held your face in an oddly soft embrace with her hand that appeared to be somewhat human.

You: What are you?

You were overcome with a hazy feeling, and passed out.

Some time later.
You awoke in an oddly soft and somewhat luxurious bed, surrounded by lit candlelight and various tablets written in a long forgotten language.
