Malty Melromarc

Rising Of The Shield Hero

Non-Lemon

I know this character isn't well liked, but I just had to do a chapter on her, please don't hurt me.

I haven't watched the Shield Hero anime, though I'm well aware of Malty's sinister nature by word of mouth, so sorry if some parts are ooc.

The kingdom was abuzz in controversy on a particular day.

Though you often left street side gossip out of your business, you couldn't help but learn of a great scandal in the royal family.

Apparently a member of the royal family, who specifically is beyond you, was found guilty of several crimes, and was sentenced to execution by hanging.

As a member of the judge's committee, a group of well respected pillars of society, you were called to lay final judgment on the guilty party.

The Judge's Committee operated on the basis of unanimous rule, of someone was found guilty by each member of the committee, then their predetermined sentence was carried out.

However, if any found the guilty party capable of rehabilitation, then it would fall on the responsibility of the most well suited committee member to rehabilitate the guilty party, with success, the guilty party and their representative would face the royal family to present their progress, upon failure, the guilty party would have their sentences carried without any retrial.

You entered the committee chamber with three other judge's;

the blacksmith, who led the workers union.

The farmer, who led the agriculture union.

And the governor, who led the political union.

And there was of course you, as the head your own shipping business which made you the leader of the commerce union.

You were particularly well liked by the other judge's on account of your several charitable projects, many of which currently being worked on by your workers as you sat in the committee chamber.

After settling in your seats, the governor stood up.

Governor: Hello my fellow judges. Today, we face a criminal of royal lineage, and many crimes. Some minor, others atrocious.

Blacksmith: With the crimes listed, why must we have a judgement? This girl is a bane on the kingdom.

Farmer: Because it falls in us, the people, to practice forgiveness.

You: Forgiveness of which all living beings are deserved.

Governor: Exactly, we are to see if forgiveness can indeed be given to such a person. Let us begin the trial.

The committee chamber doors opened to reveal two guards walking in with a surprisingly elegant woman with crimson hair.

Farmer: My...that's the queen's daughter.

Blacksmith: This judgement will be a large one.

You: Indeed, my friend, indeed.

The woman sat at a table and desk in front of you four, looking at you all with a look of disgust.

Governor: Lady Malty Melromarc, you are here to face judgement for numerous crimes against the crown and country. It is by our choice that will dictate your fate. If any committee members wish to make statements before judgement is decided, please speak now.

The farmer rose up.

Farmer: My lady, dear princess...why? I've known your family since the kingdom's formation, why would you do such things?
