Then another day came, Markus was really persistent. He knew that Giselle has her soft side. He brought his guitar. He was wearing a simple suit, very unlike of being a maharlika.

(A love song playing)

Markus wore a smile, confidence at its finest. Bringing the courage of courting the heartless Giselle. Seemed to be, his excellence at its best.

He started to strum the guitar...

Markus:
I'll give you a n*gro boy
To clean your door and to scrub the floor
Will you be happy, happy happy happy?
Happy to be with me?

You know I can do that for you, my girl.

Giselle:
(composed herself, took a deep breath and prepared to sing)
Eheemm... Eheemm...

I don't like a n*gro boy
To clean my door and to scrub the floor
I won't be happy, happy happy happy.
Happy to be with you.

You know Markus, you are being too racist. What a shame!
I looked up to you, I thought you were noble. That's what I guess.
You already broke my insights
For you are discriminating the black race. Are you serious?

Markus:
No. It's an understatement. But if it isn't okay, I'll change it.

Giselle gets her hand fan trying to hide her laughter. She doesn't know why. No one's got a clue.

Markus:
Okay okay, I'll change my statement.
Kindly listen.

(He again strums the guitar. A moment of silence and...)

I'll give you a golden chair
To sit on it and to breath fresh air
Will you be happy, happy happy happy?
Happy to be with me?

Is that fine with you?

Giselle:
Listen, I'll give you what you want.

I don't like a golden chair
To sit on it and to breath fresh air
I won't be happy, happy happy happy.
Happy to be with you.

Comfort is not an easy thing
And so, I predetermine that I will not be comfortable
Never ever.

Markus:
Trust me, my Giselle.

Giselle:
Trust?
There is no certain thing as trust
I cannot give it to you now.

Markus:
(without listening to Giselle's statement, again strums the guitar and proudly sings)

I'll give you a pot of gold
To buy your shoes and to buy your clothes
Will you be happy, happy happy happy?
Happy to be with me?

Giselle:
You are disrespectful. I am not yet finished. But, as you wish.

I don't like a pot of gold
To buy my shoes and to buy my clothes
I won't be happy, happy happy happy.
Happy to be with you.

Indeed! Money can't buy us happiness.

Markus:
Playing hard to get, huh?
Just give me a signal, I'll be lucky to play with it. Whole-heartedly.

(A funny tune played, as new props were assembling on the stage)

(The curtains closed)

PS. I do not own the used song earlier, courtesy to the rightful owner.
