All had been well for O'Malley the past few days, not received a beating, had not been used. This father went to him early that morning "Hey buddy  wanna go for a ride?!" O'Malley shot up from his seat happily and nodded. His father took him to the car and as they were driving his dad told him "were gonna play ball, hows that sound?" O'Malley was excited, this was the first time hed had a nice interaction with his father. He nodded quickly shaking with excitement.

Soon they made it to a very dense forest where kids were know to get lost in. The thick woods went on for miles with trees that seemed to stretch up to the sky. His father began to lead him in deep. "Ok Mal, listen. When I throw the ball you go find it and bring it back alright?" He held up a neon yellow tennis ball. "Okay daddy, then when I bring it back i can throw it for you?" His dad smiled devilishly with a chuckle. "Sure pall." They threw the ball for a while until his father took a step back throwing it as hard and far as he can. O'Malley kept a good eye on it "woah! That was a good one!" He smiled and ran after it. As he ran for the ball his father began sprinting to the car. Once O'Malley noticed him running away he grabbed the ball sprinting back. "A-are we playing tag now!?" His father reached the car and got in. "D-daddy! Dad wait your forgot about me!!" He was finally getting close to the car when his father began to drive off, O'Malley began to chafe the car with tears in his eyes "D-daddy wait!! Dad I right please stop!" He cried out. O'Malley wasn't paying attention while he ran tripping on rock falling. He had ripped holes in the knees of his pants and scuffed up his knees makeing the bleed badly. He had also scoffed his hands makeing them bleed and hit his head on the ground hard he looks up at the car looking the the mirror makeing eye contact with his father as tears streamed down his face. His father just smiled looking at him as he continued to drive away just fast enough to know O'Malley couldn't catch up. O'Malley held up the ball pushing himself to sit up "i-i...I got the ball..." his father sped up and O'Malley watched as the car got further and further away... appearing smaller and smaller... O'Malley collapses onto the ground in sadness when the car was no longer in view.
