Rylyn- Dancing in the dark

Rye's POV

I had to get up very early this morning. I had to go to the studio to finish up some things but it was just me who needed to go. I got up and dressed and made my way out of mine and Brooks house. We have been married for 5 years and been together for 7 years. 2 years after we got married, we had a baby. We had a surrogate carry our baby. We had a baby girl and we named her Aubrey, she's now 3.

*Time Skip- Rye is home from studio*

I walked through the door of our house, I am exhausted after being out all day. I went into our kitchen and saw Brook cooking us dinner, with Aubrey standing beside him. I walked over to Brook and wrapped my arms around his waist from behind and kissed his shoulder gently. I felt a tug at my trouser leg, I looked down and saw my precious angel standing beside me. I picked her up and gave her a big hug. I saw that Brook has almost finished the dinner so I put Aubrey in her high chair and went to the bedroom to change and then I went and ate the amazing dinner Brooklyn made.

After eating my delicious dinner I felt really exhausted, so I went to our bedroom to lie down. I was really stressed after the very long studio session.

Brook's POV

I noticed Rye was really tired and stressed all the way through dinner. He thinks I don't notice the little things like his knee bouncing up and down and his hands shaking a little. As soon as he finished eating his dinner he went to the bedroom, I think to lie down. I cleaned up the dishes from dinner and I put Aubrey in front of the T.V with her cartoons on. I turned off the main light and turned on the fairy lights that go through the kitchen. I set up my phone with our song ready to play.

Rye's POV

I was lying on mine and Brooks bed but I couldn't get to sleep. Brook came in after a while and grabbed my hands. He pulled me out to the kitchen and I saw all the lights out except the fairy lights. He pressed a button on his phone and 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran started playing. It was our song. The one that we danced to on our first date and the song we danced to for our first dance at our wedding.

He grabbed my hands again and put them on his waist. Brook put his arms around my neck and payed his head on my chest. We started swaying from side to side. Halfway through the song I was feeling less stressed already. I heard Brook quietly singing, 'Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms.' I am so in love with him.

I felt something at the bottom of my leg. I looked down to see Aubrey, she wanted lifted up. I bent down and picked her up. I pulled Brook and Aubrey as close to me as possible. They are my world.
