Jennie, Josie, and Lizzie were sitting in a circle, holding hands, listening to the instructions of their teacher.
"Chain spells are about the fluid movement of energy from witch to witch," Dorian instructs the students but gets distracted when he notices that a student is missing. "Where's Penelope Park?"

Lizzie smirks. "Um, lady cramps, Mr.Williams."

Dorian rolls his eyes. "Sorry I asked. A disharmonious group makes for an uneven flow."

All the students burst out laughing, well all except Hope Mikaelson.
Before they can continue a piece of paper appears and Dorian grabs it.

"Uh-oh. Who's in trouble with the headmaster?" Josie asks.

"Probably the people who started a rumble with the local high school." Hope replies, annoyed.

Dorian reads the paper. "Lizzie Saltzman, Josie Saltzman, Jennie Saltzman, and baby makes four. Off you go." He gestures to Hope.

They all share a confused glance before getting up to leave.

"This makes no sense, Dad. Why are we being punished?" Lizzie asks while following him around the library.

"Because you started a brawl at a charity football game that risked exposing what we really do here!" Alaric told them, thinking the answer was already obvious.

Lizzie pouts. "Well, you weren't mad last night."

"I was mad last night! My undying love for my daughters just happened to trump my rage." Alaric replies before setting his books down to face his daughters. "I volunteered everyone in the game, so stop complaining. You're lucky that it's just community service and not actual jail time."

"Can I at least offer a rebuttal in my defense, if it pleases the court?" Lizzie asks.

Alaric rolls his eyes but gestures for her to continue.

"First of all, I was provoked. My response was totally proportional considering the levels of abuse that I was forced to endure."

Hope chuckles, causing Lizzie to get even more upset.

Lizzie hesitates. "And secondly, if anyone should take the blame it's Josie."
