"You lied to me?" Lizzie said in shock when Alaric laid down his stake and picked up a bottle of bourbon, pouring it into a glass. "You told me that Sebastian chose to leave the school."
"I said he made his choice." Alaric snapped, as he took a hold of the glass. "He refused to respect our rules."
"So you sent him here?"
"He had help," Sebastian spoke up from where he was sat on a chair, causing all four of them to look at him. "There was a witch who did the spell. Dark hair, kind eyes. Amazing accent."
"Emma," Josie concluded as the three girls looked back at their father.
"How could you, Dad?" Lizzie asked in disbelief causing Jennie to roll her eyes. "Come on Liz, are you really that shocked he would do something like this? If anything I'm surprised I didn't get the boot." Jennie said half-joking.
"You're my daughter. I wouldn't do that unless you did something unforgivable. Something you couldn't come back from."
Jennie's eyes widened in alarm. "Wait, you'd actually do it? What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"You can yell at me after we arm ourselves," Alaric told his daughters as he moved around them.
"Dad, why do we need weapons so bad?" Josie asked, still confused about the predicament they were in.
"All you need to know is that we're in danger, and we need to find a way out now," Alaric said, refusing to give his daughters a straight answer.
Sebastian got up out of his chair and used his vampire speed to come face to face with Alaric. "We're in a new world now. Perhaps you are no longer the one in charge." Sebastian smirked, goading the headmaster.
Alaric was less than amused as he stabbed Sebastian with a piece of wood. Sebastian grunted and Lizzie gasped as she made he way forward, only to be held back by Jennie. Sebastian fell to the ground with a thud. "To be clear, my daughters and I are leaving, you are staying behind and yes, I am in charge." Alaric turned back towards his daughter slightly before turning and walking out of the room. Josie and Jennie went after him while Lizzie rushed to Sebastian's side.
