« I'm telling you Hannah! He was so annoying! He kept screaming in my ears even when I asked him to stop! He spilled my popcorn on me! AND he had the audacity to kiss me at the kiss cam!! He took my first kiss away! Well does it really counts like my first kiss since I didn't kiss him back? Arghh! He makes me so angry! »
I say, sitting angrily on the chair next to me. I'm at Hannah's house, telling her everything that happened. Hannah is my best friend. I don't know what I would do without her.
« Okay maybe he was annoying but you haven't seen my new step brother. He's such a jerk! And I have to live with him now! You only saw this stranger once. And you won't have to see him again. Believe me, I have to deal with way worse!»
Hannah's mom died from cancer 4 years ago. Her dad met someone about a year ago. Hannah's step mom has 2 kids. The 3 of them moved in during the Christmas break. I haven't met them yet because during the break I was at my grand-parents house. This is the first time I'm seeing Hannah since the beginning of the break so we have a lot of things to say.
« By the way, talking about your step brother, where is he? I haven't seen him since I got here. »
« He went to the arena. He's supposed to come back soon. »
« How does he looks like? »
« Well... Okay he's really Annoying but I have to admit that he's really hot. And cute. It's like a perfect mix. If he wasn't a jerk I would totally try to date him. Even if he's my step brother! »
« HANNAH! Wow, he must be something. » I tell her with a smirk.
We suddenly hear the door of the house open.
« Is that him?? I wanna see how he looks like! » I say with an excited voice. I'm really intrigued by this guy.
« Yeah probably. We can go in the kitchen and say that we were hungry. But don't get the wrong idea by seeing his face. I'm telling you he's a jerk. »
« Okay! » We stand up from her bed and go downstairs.
As we walk in directions of the kitchen, I see a tall brown guy sit at the table, eating an apple.
The closer we get, the more I think I already see the guy somewhere. That's when it hits me. I put my arms on Hannah's to stop her.
« Hannah! That's him! That's the guy from the hockey game! What is he doing here? » I whisper in her ear. Her eyes widened.
« Maddie I think we were talking about the same jerk. This is my step brother Shawn. »
Oh no. Are you fucking kidding me?
Hannah continues to walk towards the kitchen.
« Hannah what are you doing?! » I whisper/yell, trying to hold her back.
« I'm hungry! »
I roll my eyes and follow her. I can't believe that the guy that kissed me is standing in my best friend's kitchen right now. Just seeing him makes me angry. We're now in the kitchen and Shawn raises his head.
His eyes land on me and he smirk as he sees me. I blush. It may sound stupid but I'm not the best with guys. Even if I'm not interested in them, I'll blush if they talk to me. So seeing him smirk as he sees me makes my cheeks really hot.
« Hey kiss cam girl! »
I roll my eyes and get closer to Hannah who is already looking in the fridge.
« Shawn where are the strawberries? My dad bought a new package yesterday! »
« Oh I ate them all this morning. » He answer while taking a bite of his apple and looking back at his phone.
Hannah looks at me with an angry face.
« I'm gonna kill him. » She mouths me.
I giggle.
« Is an apple okay for you? »
« Yeah sure. »
She hands me an apple and I take a bite.
« Wait here I'm just going to the bathroom. » She tells me.
I causally eat my apple and sit on the chair at the counter.
« So kiss cam girl... » I turn around and see Shawn standing behind me. I didn't even noticed that he was behind me.
« I have a name you know. » I say and roll my eyes.
« I know. » He says while walking closer to me.
He's very close and I feel my heart beat really fast. His face gets closer and I'm starting to think that he's gonna kiss me. We look at each other in the eyes. My muscles tense up. Do I want him to kiss me? I want to say something but nothing is coming out of my mouth. We're now a few inches away. At the last moment, he changes of direction to take the bottle of water behind me.
I'm all red and really ashamed. Did I really thought he was gonna kiss me?
« You're blushing. » He says and then walk away, leaving me shock.
