I thought of this in the shower, a diagram for parentheses and stuff! Opt. means optional.
Let me explain better, this is for when you are using parentheses, so when you have to say a side comment (like this) while writing. The words are where you put things, and there's a reason for the extras (so it doesn't get confusing [with parentheses] and you know what's where).
(Word[Word{Word}Opt. Word]Opt. word)
