The demon suddenly erupted into throaty laughter. His actions caused you to tilted your head to the side and frown in curiosity, awaiting his answer.
Once his laughter died down the demon's finger lit up and he began playing with the small ember on his fingers. "Why do you think?" He slowly spoke before averting his gaze from his fingers to you and the male standing next to you.
"Answer him whilst he is being nice." A new voice spoke from behind the demon. Jimin's honey voice was soft and playful yet authority.
"Nice? We all know better than that. Humans are anything but nice." He commented casually. His eyes lazily following the new operative as he saunters his way past. The mysterious weapon you saw in his grasp opened, the sound of unfolding fabric echoed through the corridor. It reveals a beautifully crafted fan. The leaves were a pure white which seemed to shine under the light of the fire. The ribs contrasted with the pure white, it was pitch black with what you identified as the Kindness symbol.
His movements were the same, smooth and effortless when wielding his weapon. The fan was quickly closed as the strong metal rib came in contact with the demons fist. The creature had tried to attack the operative from behind. Jimin then proceeded to twist the fan towards him, bringing the demon's hand down so that it grazed against the blades on the fan's ribs. The weapon created deep wounds all along the demon's wrist. This caused the demon to hiss in pain.
"Humans will be the source of their own destruction." He spoke voice laced with hatred. You could see his anger in the way the veins in his neck popped. The anger caused the small ember he was playing with to grow in size. The flames provided a source light which was lacking in the late morning corridor. It gave off an eerie feeling as the flame lit up the demons face with a deep shade of orange.
Your eyes narrowed at the creatures bold statement and you watched him turn his attention to his feathered wings. You hear the cock of the gun from the male next to you as he prepared for the demon to lung, only, he didn't. "Harmony, what a weird word." The demon thought aloud as his tongue glided across his lips. "Never liked how it rolled off my tongue." Snapping his eyes open, he ceased the light which was allowing the three of you to see.
Quickly going in stance, your grip in the throwing knife tightened in your left hand before you grabbed ahold of another in your right hand. Preparing yourself for a surprise attack. You wanted nothing more than to reach out from behind your back and use your rifle but it was too risky, you would run the chase of hitting the two other operatives around you.
You blinked a few times to allow your eyes to readjust to the poor lighting conditions of the corridor but no avail. There were no windows in the corridor as the main room and unfortunately the three of you were too far down the corridor for the moonlight to reach you.
Hearing movement to the right, you turned around and drew your knife down only to have it miss. You see a fireball fly past and hit the wall behind you so you brought your knife in the said direction. However, you miss once again. You feel the wind of someone's movement from behind and you were quick to react, pivoting your foot around to attack but that was until a small pair of hands wrapped around your elbows.
"Using your senses." Jimin said in a hushed tone before the warmth of his hand disappeared from around your elbow. You nearly missed his advice it was so fast.
Drawing in a deep breath, you let out a shaky sigh and closed your eyes. You knew exactly what he meant. Your father and the director did briefly speak to you about using your spiritual senses but you never put it into action. You had never fought blindly before. Without the distraction of the moving shadows, you directed all your attention to the spiritual energy around you and to your other sense like sound. Remembering back correctly from that brief training session you had in the past, you should be able to pinpoint the exact location of the demon based on his spiritual energy. A creature from the depths of the Underworld always held different spiritual energy to those who dwelled in the Heavens and Overworld being from the 5th dimension.
You sensed five presences.
Differentiating the overwhelming sense of darkness from behind out of the others, you hurriedly draw your elbow back and elbow the demon right in his gut. Luckily you caught onto his presence on time before he did something to you. Switching your blade around in one swift movement, you pierced the skin of the demon deeply. Your wound caused him to let out a loud screech and stumble back.
You pulled your knife out at the last second before jumping out of range from the demons physical attacks.
Yellow bullets momentarily lit up the dark room as Jungkook shot at the demon. His advances caused the demon to fall back. The yellow streaks began to glide through the air for longer as the demon was deeper down the corridor.
Sprinting forward upon instinct, the two of you caught up to where the demon had retreated to. You hear it let out another loud grunt of pain, you assumed Jimin had attacked him before an overwhelming wave of heat hits you. You open your eyes to a horrific sight. Within seconds, the demon had lit a ring of fire around himself, protecting himself any of your attacks.
You gulped harshly at the sudden increase of dark energy spiralling the demon. It was on a whole different level than just a few seconds ago. You hated to admit it, but for the first time ever as an operative, you felt fear bubbling up in the inside of your stomach. You had to take a step back, overwhelmed by the pure heat and dark energy surrounding the demonic creature.
You watched the white paint chips slowly peeled away allowing the walls to be at full mercy to the flames. You were starting to see through the plaster of the walls. You had to hold back the urge to recklessly jump over the ring of fire as you witnessed the flames burn walls of the museum. It felt like all the history bestowed in the museum and all your childhood memories were burning away with the building itself.
"Enough playtime!" The creature roared, the flames simultaneously growing larger as his voice grew. "You are distracting me from the main reason for my trip to the Overworld. Be gone." And with that, the last thing you remember from that battle was the deafening sound of shattering glass.

DOUBLE UPDATE!!!!
I have honestly been stuck on how to write this chapter for over 2 months. For some reason inspiration just didn't come to me. I am quite happy with how this turned out but leave me some feedback in the comments. I am fairly new to writing fight scenes so feedback is greatly encouraged.
