When I stepped back through the door of the estate, I smelled the dinner that Hajra had cooking just down the hall. I hadn't stopped to eat today, neither had Lily. We were too busy shopping and when we finally got around to the mani pedi's there just didn't seem to be enough time. My nails were a pale pink with glitter top coat over it. They gleamed under the lights in the living room.
Lily ushered me to the dining room quickly saying that she didn't want to deal with her brother, or Hajra, if I passed out again. I rolled my eyes but followed after her reluctantly. To my disappointment Logan wasn't in the dining room so that just left Hajra, Lily, Mahdi, Hadem and myself.
"Where has my brother gone off to now? He usually doesn't miss meals." Lily says when she took her seat next to Hajra.
"He's still in his office. I haven't seen him all day." Hadem said, placing his napkin over his lap.
"Have you talked to him?" She asked her grandmother who shook her head with a frown on her face.
"Not even I could get him out of there." Hajra said and scooped a big helping of something onto my plate. "Eat, my darling." With the look in her eyes I didn't think twice before picking up my fork and digging in. Whatever it was, it was delicious, like always. I paid no attention to what they talked about as I stuffed myself with the food.
After dinner was over, I didn't know what to do so I settled for putting away the new clothes I had gotten today, which was much more than I expected. With every store we entered, anything that I seemed to look at for longer than a few seconds, Lily grabbed it and bought it for me. Before I could get to the bags that we had placed by the door when we came in, Lily called out to me.
"I'll put those away for you. Do you mind taking a plate of food to Logan?" She asked and before I could answer she took the bags and carried them upstairs. I sighed before going to the kitchen and filling a plate up with the dinner. I took small steps down the hall, trying to take up as much time as I needed before having to face him. I had missed him today but he still had this aura around him that intimidated me to the bone.
I stood outside the door, knees nearly shaking as I raised a hand and knocked three times. "Logan?" I called out when I got no answer. I sighed before grabbing the handle and pushing the door open. I silently stepped inside and found Logan passed. Face on his desk, his quiet snores were heard at the entry way. I smiled and took small steps until I reached his desk.
"Logan?" I called out softly, running my fingers through his hair. He stirred slightly but didn't wake up. I sat the food down, away from his reach incase his arm knocked it off. Hopefully the smell would wake him up and he'd eat before going to bed. I softly shut the door behind me and took in a deep breath, kind of glad that I didn't have to face him head on.
When I got to my room it was as if no one had touched it but I checked the closet and saw my new clothes hung up along with my old ones. What my eyes didn't miss was the black lace number that I had eyed in the lingerie store. I didn't even notice that Lily had bought it for me. I plucked the hanger out of the closet and checked the tag.
Expensive.
But beautiful.
Dirty thoughts clouded my mind and I became hot all over. Hot with need. Something I didn't like feeling.
I laid it on my bed and dashed to my bathroom. I needed a cold bath to try and rid me from this heat. I made sure the water was cold but not too cold. I threw in a handful of lemon verbena bath salts and a few drops of orange oil before I slid in. I placed my hair into a bun before closing my eyes. After awhile my thoughts stilled and I had nothing else to think about so I grabbed my phone and turned on some music and started to sing along. My soft voice filled the bathroom as I relaxed to the voice of the woman singing through my phone.
