Emma's PoV
I still couldn't fall asleep. My eyelids were heavy, but they didn't want to close. Was that even possible?
I shivered as my soaked clothes stuck onto my body. I pulled my bag closer to me and got out a blanket I had packed with me. But it was also soaked through.
Even so, I took it and wrapped it around me. I was still shivering cold. Should I try calling someone? No, everyone there was in my old life, I should be forgetting them.
But I really needed help. Should I try the police? No, they would take me to the orphanage. Justin? He would understand.
I reached for my purse and took out my phone. It wasn't completely ruined from the rain, but it was wet and I wasn't so sure it would last long.
As I typed in my passcode, I found it extremely hard to move my hands. They were frozen stiff, I should've known that it would be cold, even if all the snow had melted. It was March.
I finally was able to call Justin, and I held my phone up to my ear, while trying to listen to the calling noises, not the rain falling.
"Sorry, I'm not available at the moment. I'm either at boxing practice, asleep, or my phone is off. Please leave your name and your number and I'll get back to you," Justin's voice said. Does my life really hate me this much?
"Justin, when you get this message, please call me back, it's Emma and you know my number. I really need your help," I said, then sent the voice message to him.
The clock on my phone read 1:32 AM. How could I not be able to sleep right now?!
I watched the lightning and the rain, trying to ignore the cold. I did have one game on my phone, but it's battery was only 2 bars, so I had to save it.
I shivered again, the goosebumps rising all over. It started getting hard to move, and I found it extremely hard to see. The street lights, lightning, buildings started becoming blurry, and dots of red, blue and green twirled in my eyes.
I took a deep breath of the cold air, stinging my nostrils, before my head became extremely heavy. I leaned a bit to my right, but I tipped over, my head hit the dumpster and it all went blank from there.
Perrie's PoV
After the long 6 hour car ride from South Shields, Jonnie and I left our new apartment to check out the outskirts of London. It had stopped raining, so out parents let us go out.
My parents, Jonnie and I were in London because I wanted to audition for the X-Factor. The cover story was because my mom would get me an iPhone, but the real reason was because of the Chosen One.
My whole family are kanays, part of the Ice Tribe. The Chosen One of the witches is evil, and wants to kill kanays and use them to steal powers from other witches.
Sophie Torres, the Chosen One, had gone to North Shields to kill the Fire Tribe, which are sometimes called Churi Kanays.
Since we were in South Shields, we figured it wouldn't be safe, so we drove down to London. And then my mom said that if one of us became famous, Torres couldn't kill anyone of the tribe, because it would cause affect the famous one, making the human world find out, which they weren't allowed. So I volunteered to try out for the X-Factor, the seventh series.
Jonnie and I walked around, taking in the city, trying to get used to it.
We talked about the things we missed in South Shields, like our friends and such. It was sad, leaving most of it behind, but it was either our lives or friends, and the Ice Tribe always puts themselves first. Well, most of the time. We can take care of ourselves.
