Emma's PoV

"What are you doing here?" I asked, a little afraid of her. I shouldn't be afraid, she's only 11!

"To get my revenge."

"On what?"

"My room is messed up! And I think it was you," she said angrily.

"I only did it because I had to."

She suddenly blew at me, except the wind was extremely strong and I backed up, hair blowing all over my face. How did she do that?

"You're a can I!" Dani hissed. That made no sense, what in the world?

"Oh and what are you?"

"I'm a person."

"Oh please." What were they talking about? And how come I didn't know any of this? I was always left out nowadays.

"Yeah, and maybe you should leave before I get the council to whip you."

"They wouldn't dare, they're too afraid of me."

"Afraid of a can I? Please! We are way much more capable if things than you guys are."

"And the war keeps going, doesn't it?" War?!

"Yep. And you guys are doing it, we're hardly doing anything, so back off." Who else was with Mia? Was there some sort of organization that ruined people's lives?

"What's going on?" I asked, finally having enough courage to speak. I was worried that Mia was going to "super-blow" me again.

"Nothing, we're just old enemies," Dani said. Sounded believable...

"Old enemies? This has been going on for ten thousand years!" Their families might have been fighting for so long? But honestly, that sounded way beyond unbelievable.

"Look, just stay out of our lives, and we'll stay out of yours," Dani huffed.

"Fine. But not for long. Enjoy it while you have it," Mia said, crossing her arms and cocking her head to the side.

"Great! Now get out of here."

"Gladly."

Mia left and shut the door.

"Should I believe it or not?" I asked Dani.

"You can trust me, I promise."

"I trust you."

"We're going back to school today," Dani said, putting some of her textbooks in her ruck sack.

"I don't want to. But fine. But only because of my grades. And that we have tests coming in around 2 months."

"Look, Emma, I know you like education, but not school. But you need to stand up for yourself. It's a useful skill, and I know you can do it." Honestly, she sometimes sounded like a mom.

But I knew I could, I was gaining confidence back. The stuff I used to have. Dani was really helping.

"Okay. Fine, we're going for real today."

We were the most popular as we walked in together. People looked at us and whispered to each other in small groups.

I knew they were judging me, saying things behind my back. And I so badly wanted to know what they were saying, but not hearing is better.

Dani and I made our way to our lockers to get prepared for out lessons.

But not too long later, there were some cheers and I immediately knew what was happening. Dani turned around and I heard her whisper something.

"Just pretend it's water off your back."

"Hey! D*ckface! Where were you for the past week?" Liam asked. I remained still, facing my back towards them.

"It's not your business, it's more of the principal's business!" Dani replied.

"Principal? What's a principal?"

"Headmaster, you stupid British brats."

"Hey, Emma! Face us when we're talking," Louis said.

"And if she won't?" Dani asked. Seriously? Now?

The crowd went: "ooh!" from the comeback Dani just did.

The boys laughed, but another voice was mixed in. I could hear Harry's, Louis', Liam's and Zain's, but there were was another one.

I immediately whipped around to see Justin, laughing with them. How could he?!

"Oh, thanks for facing us when we're talking," Justin smirked. I had found out he was spying for them, but now joining the four... I wouldn't be able to handle it well. And if I already didn't, then it would get even worse.

"What do you want?" Dani asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well, sorry! We just want to know why you weren't here for the past week."

"Th-that's none of your business!" I found myself saying. No, why? I shouldn't have said that, now they're going to be so mad.

"Oh wow! First insult, Emma! How does it feel?" My cheeks became hot, and I just wanted to melt into a puddle so that no one could see me.

"No, tell us why you weren't here or else your little secret gets spilled to the school." What secret? I didn't have any secret, so I didn't have to worry.

"Why do you even care why we came to school
or not?" Dani asked.

"Hey, everybody! Emma here has a secret that she's too afraid to let anyone know!" Louis announced. What secret?!

Zain went forward to me, and I backed up as much as I could, until my back hit the lockers Now I'm stuck here.

"Leave her alone!" Dani yelled, as she punched Zain in the face, but he didn't show an expression at all.

"And why should we?" Zain asked.

"Because she has done absolutely nothing wrong! Why are you bullying someone for no reason? You guys are sick."

"That's what you think, Danielle. But no, this is just our revenge. If you think this is too much, then just wait and see to know what we're capable of." The crowd cheered and clapped, and I decided to speak up for myself. I didn't want to be the mute mothball for the rest of my life.

And I should be lucky. Fate put these nuisances in my way for a reason. So that I could be ready for my future and overcome some fears. And I couldn't just take it for granted, I had to improve myself.

"How is this revenge when I have done absolutely nothing?!" I asked.

"Oh sweet little 'innocent' Emma. Are you so forgetful?"

"No, I'm not. I remember every single little thing that you have done to me," I said to not just them, but everyone. I felt so embarrassed of myself, but I fought it and it felt good to be this way.

"Just pretend it's water off your back."

"Okay, you know what? Everyone, Emma cuts," Zain said, pulling up my sleeves and holding my arms up. I struggled as everyone gasped.

Okay, that's the last straw, I'm changing for good. No more softie, I'm turning into titanium.
