You're back again?
I can't seem to let go of you
Hide behind my stripes again
See me if you could try
But you never could
I'm here, sitting in the same spot
Listening to you act like I don't exist
Behind your every step
Hearing your voice when I don't want you
Seeing your tail every time I pass a corner
Listen to me, for once
Get up and on again
You cut the string that tied you to the world
For the last time
Hear it?
It's you and me
Staring back and forth
Till one of us collapses and moves along
I see your bent ears, pointing in my direction
Don't think I don't get it
Don't think I didn't realize that when I came here
See me again if you can try
Because you never ran off when you were supposed to
I'm stepping over the fallen leaves again
and I won't go till you think of me this time
