I can hear your screaming
Deflecting off the walls and pinging back and forth
Within the confines of her closet
Tucked away like a bad habit
Creeping your fingers through the doors
when the time is wrong
and the tears shed won't fill the river
we'd need to swim across
to get you from behind
a wall, a face unknown
a voice I wouldn't recognize
if it screamed in my face,
or behind the closet door
louder as it gets
piercing my head like the needles we knew
a crown that shatters as it hits the ground
going under with the one you left behind
wishing there's one more moment
where the ghost of you
is not the only one close
I can hear your screaming through her closet doors
I can hear your voice through the shallow walls
That keep us from reaching you
once again
