Anywho, here's the next chapter. (It is back to Ashton's point of view)

Chapter Twenty

Giggles filled the air as we ran into my room. I was lifted in the air and twirled around.

“Put me down, momma.” I giggled. “I want to make a butterfly.”

“Oh, but first you need to make a wish.” She said as she set me on my feet, kneeling down to my level. She gave me her brightest smile as she grabbed some construction paper off my table. She would glance at me every few seconds as she folded the colored paper, grabbing a pair of scissors, and cutting in specific places. Soon she held two perfect paper butterflies in her hand. “One for you and one for me.” She said softly.

I quickly grabbed one and sat at my table, several crayons already over the tabletop. I picked up a blue one and scribbled a few words on the inside of the butterfly. I smiled as my mom did the same.

This was my favorite thing to do with her. Though, it seemed to be the only thing we could do, unless we were able to sneak away from daddy.

“Make a wish?” Momma asked, I nodded earning me a smile. “Good, now hugs for warmth,” We brought the butterflies to our chest, with our hands over it. “And kisses for love.” We placed a kiss on the butterfly before holding them in our hands. “Now let it fly.” We threw the paper butterflies up in the air, watching as the its makeshift wings flew until it landed on the floor.

“I love you, baby.” Momma said suddenly.

“I love you back, momma.” I smiled widely, showing off my missing front tooth.

“Elise!” I heard my father yell, making me wince.

“Stay in your room, okay baby.” I nodded and watched as momma walked out of my room.

“Momma.” I called.

She turned back to me with a smile. “It’s okay, baby.” She shut the door.

I heard a scream. Momma.

The sound of thuds were repeated until one final loud one and then silence.

It should have been you! This is all your fault!

I opened my eyes with a gasp, frantically looking around me. Everything around me was dark. The ground beneath me felt wet and sticky as I moved around. I let out a yelp as I pulled my arms, only to be stopped by thick wire wrapped around my wrists. They were connected to chains that linked to the brick wall behind me.
