(y/n) POV
As I walked closer to the school building I looked for any other students but saw a lack of any people, students or otherwise, the whole street to the school looked empty as I walked, I was probably late. Out of the corner of my eye I finally see something moving, a red van, normally I wouldn't pay much attention to a car driving past except because of how empty the streets were around I just couldn't help but gaze at it.
The car made a smooth turn into the parking space of the school and out of it came two people, though I really only focused on one of them, that one was a human and probably the only other human in the entire town seeing how many monsters I saw and how little I saw of any humans on your commute to the school. It seems I caught the attention of the human as they turned to face me, they had long, overgrown, brown hair which covered their eyes, I guess they have never seen another human seeing as they didn't really stop looking, they just stared, maybe they were trying to see if I was actually human seeing as my face was still covered by my hood.
I continued walking along the path as we looked at each other, the other person who exited the car was a tall goat-like woman, she seemed to be the human's guardian of some kind by the fact she held onto their hand. The woman had turned to look at the human as they were walking slower when they saw me not too far behind, she turned around as if to talk to me, that's when I got a better look at the both of them.
The human was around my height...maybe a little shorter and wore a green and yellow striped sweater with brown pants and shoes, from this close up I got a better look at their features and presumed this human was a boy. The monster was taller and wore a purple dress, glasses and a heart shaped necklace, she looked like a teacher from this close, she also seemed like a very caring person as she greeted me with a comforting smile.
" You must be our newest student (y/n), you shouldn't be arriving late, and certainly not on your first day." I look up at her to respond clearly, I'm pretty used to confrontation at this point so I knew what to say to quickly diffuse the situation.
"An honest mistake, I will be trying not to let it happen again" The woman looked satisfied with this answer as I thought they might.
"I would hope so..." with another soft smile she introduced herself and the human.
"My name is Toriel and this is my son Kris, you will be in his class so I would suggest following us" I looked once again at the human I now know as Kris, he seems curious to say the least but I can't blame him if it's the first time he's seen another human, he probably has it pretty rough here because of it, it wouldn't be the first time I had seen something like that.
I nod to Toriel as I begin to follow behind the two of them through the school entrance into a quite small building, I suppose if the town is this small it wouldn't need to be that big. At the end of the corridor we walked through there was a large grey set of double doors with a path to the left and right, there was a similar split path in the middle of the hall where Kris and Toriel stopped walking.
Toriel then knelt down and hugged Kris then began to walk down the right path, I felt a tugging on my sleeve and turned my head to see Kris gesturing for me to follow him, I nodded and began to walk behind him. He walked pretty slow but that gave me time to examine the area, there only really seemed to be some lockers and they all seemed pretty normal except for one with a with memorabilia of a green snake monster over it, I used this time to try and talk with Kris figuring we should try and get along if were are the only humans here.
"So, that was your mother right? She seemed nice..." Kris silently nodded and continued walking to the door of the class, strong and silent type I assume or maybe it's because he doesn't even know me, probably the latter.
I sigh and look forward at the door waiting for Kris to open it, "Must be nice." I add, Kris just stood quietly at the door for an awkwardly long period of time.
"...Yeah" Kris muttered, well at least now I know they aren't mute or something along those lines. Kris adjusted himself and sighed quietly before bursting open the door with a resounding slam. Maybe warn me next time you do something like that.
