(y/n) POV

Kris and I reluctantly followed Susie to the large grey doors at the end of the hall as she broke the silence,

"Well, here's the closet. Too bad... We were just starting to have fun" she said as a sly grin crawled across her face. She pushed open the doors revealing...nothing, a void of inky blackness, it felt as if light was drained from the hall and a dark aura surrounded us. Susie's face had almost immediately lost its smug lustre to the shadowy veil before her.

"...Hey, is it me or...Is it REALLY dark in there?" Susie's voice gave off a hint of her fear but Kris' body language was more obvious as the hand I held began to quiver.

"What's the holdup, Kris?" Susie said breaking the ominous silence again, "Are you gonna go in or what?" After hearing this Kris backed up behind me staring into the doorway still shakily holding onto my hand now more out of fear than support.

Susie's shouting broke the silence once more "Fine! If you're gonna be WIMPS, the I'll..." Susie paused for a moment as she looked back into the doorway, still the fear inducing pitch black. I decided to be the first to act and let go of Kris' hand and began to stride into the closet giving Susie a quick dirty look as I passed her and taking the first steps into the abyss before turning to face the others outside.

"Uh...nice one...girl" Susie said awkwardly before quickly adjusting her demeanour to the confidence she showed before, "I have a name...learn it" I retorted with slight scowl before looking back at Kris, "I could use your help looking Kris...if you don't mind" I said softer  before turning back around to face the darkness. The light from behind me showed papers scattered across the ground but any further was clouded by the darkness as I heard the conversation between Kris and Susie behind me.

"See? Why are you so scared? There's nothing in here but old papers." Susie said with newfound confidence "Lets try to find a light switch" I started moving forward looking for a switch but no matter how far I went I couldn't find any walls let alone a switch.

There was nothing to either side of me and anything further ahead wasn't visible as if there was no end to the room, looking behind me I saw that I had already made a good distance from Kris and Susie but still didn't find a single thing in the abyss.

I heard Susie's voice from behind again as an echo "That's weird...I can't find a switch. Guess it's further in..." I turned and shouted to them, "There's nothing down here...It looks like there's no end!"

I began to walk back to them, hearing Susie speak again, "Hey, Kris...I think this closet's uh...Broken"

"No walls or y'know...anything really" I interrupted from a distance,

"...Well, we've worked hard enough" Susie continued "If Alphys wants chalk so bad, she can get it herself. Let's split"

I had caught up with the two, as Susie began leading the charge back to the entrance though I noticed Kris was shaking like he was afraid, I couldn't blame him though given the creepy room we were in.

I put my hand on his shoulder to comfort him as we walked, "Pretty creepy huh...don't worry though, I'm here for you" He seemed to calm down a little but before he could respond I heard a loud echoing crash as light vanished from the already poorly lit room.

"The Hell was that!?" I yelled in shock as I quickly heard Susie shouting while punching where the door was, "Hey, this isn't funny! LET US OUT! LET US..." Susie stopped pounding the only wall as the ground began to shake violently.

The papers that were scattered on the floor crinkled from the jarring movement and I began to feel a dreadful yet somewhat familiar feeling in that moment, something I hadn't felt in a long time, a gut wrenching weight in my chest; in my very soul.
