Chapter 10

Luke's P.O.V.

"What the fuck do you want?" I spat out, keeping my teeth and fists clenched as I watched him struggling to find an appropriate answer. He obvioiusly wasn't prepared for that kind of reaction of mine.

"Luke, y-you have to underst-" Daniel began but I cut him off.

"I have to understand what?? Are you fucking serious? You come here being Chrissy's friend and then when I get closer to her you suddenly decide to fall for her? And of course right after I kissed her.. What a great timing..." I sneered at him, my voice dripping from sarcasm.

"You... you kissed her?" his jaw dropped when I finished speaking.

"Do you even understand how much I like her? Of course we kissed, you idiot! She wants to be with me anyway, so keep your hands off of her!" my mouth said quicker than my brain could think, which earned me a loud thump as his fist collided with my cheek.

Catching the blood with my fingers, I looked up, only to see that his face lost all expressions. He stared in my direction, but not at me. I noticed that he looked at something behind me so I turned around and I could literally see her heart shatter.

Chrissy disappeared in her hut for 0.2 seconds before she sprinted towards me and gently wiped my face with a wet cloth. "Oh God, Luke, what happened to your face?" she mumbled while cleaning up my nose. Our eyes locked for a second, but I lifted my head and gave Daniel a death glare, who still didn't seem to be able to move.

"Dan... I think you should go..." Chrissy muttered and he followed her instruction - after he mouthed me "You'll regret this.", but I shrugged it off - leaving just the two of us, very close to each other. "I'm so terribly sorry for what he did to your face... That's not his usual behavior..." she said, looking at me with her big brown eyes.

"I know it's obvious that there's nothing, but I still need to know.. Why did you kiss him?" I asked and furrowed my eyebrows, causing her to laugh loudly.

"Okay, so first of all, I did not kiss him - he kissed me!" she chuckled, holding up one finger. "Second of all, I think he kept this from me for a long time now, but - as much as it breaks my heart - I only see him as my best friend." she sighed making me internally jump from relief. I actually still had a chance with her...

"Wanna come over and have a movie night with the other idiots from my band?" I offered, since the boys and me basically had nothing to do today. "Sure, why not? That's actually a great idea, I still haven't properly talked to your band mates!" Chrissy got excited about meeting my friends, which made me certainly happy.

"Alright! See you later!" I waved, making my way back to our hut.

Chrissy's P.O.V.

*knock knock*

I waited for an answer, a backpack full of food, movies and and a blanket on my back - I was already in my comfy clothes as I didn't care about what the others might think of my appearance anyway.

"Chrissy!" an overly excited Ashton opened the door, pulling me into a tight hug. (Too much caffeine, I'm guessing) "Awhh, I missed you!" I said, patting his curly head. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into the living room, where I was greeted by three lads lazily laying on the couch. Calum got up first and hugged me - still keeping some distance though - "Hey Chrissy." he said, then sat down on the couch. Next one to get up was Michael, who I barely had changed a word with since we were in this camp.

"Hey, I'm Chrissy, if you didn't already know." I extended my hand, but Michael hugged me instead. "I'm Michael and a big fan of hugs, if you didn't already know." he smirked and let go, sitting down on the couch. Luke had already waited in queue to hug me so I turned to him and swung my arms around his neck while he hugged me back, but his hug was different from the others. His chin rested on my shoulder, his warm breath tickled my skin and his arms wouldn't let go of my waist.

"Go get a room, damn it.." Ashton jokingly mumbled as he walked past us, making me blush and loosen the hug. "Anyway, what movie do you guys wanna watch?" Luke said, trying to make the situation less awkward.

"What about a horror movie?" Michael suggested, Calum and Ashton approved. "You fine with that?" Luke turned to me and I swallowed, but smiled, trying to seem like I enjoyed horror movies. "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe." he whispered, only loud enough for me to hear, while the other boys fetched popcorn, blankets and all the pillows from their beds until we had the most cozy couch to ever exist on the planet.

I sat intbetween Ashton and Luke and every now and then during the movie I could feel movement next to me as Luke shifted his body - a little closer to me each time - until it reached the point where his arm rested on my shoulders and I leaned my head onto him. The nearness of his body made me feel warm and comfortable so soon enough I didn't even pay attention to the movie anymore.

During our second movie - which happened to be the Lego movie - Calum and Michael went to bed, because they were pretty tired and not long afterward, Ashton started yawning repeatedly. "Guys I think I'll pass out if I'm not going to bed right now. Sorry for leaving you alone. Night Luke, night Chrissy." he said tiredly.

"Night Ashton." We answered in unison and then we sat without a move until we heard Ashtons door shut. "Oh dear, finally.." I mumbled and Luke's lips connected with mine. "Seems like you couldn't wait to do that" Luke chuckled, but I shut him up with another kiss.

"I think I forgot my blanke- WOAH GUYS!" Ashton walked in, but then covered his eyes with one of his large hands. We immediately blushed and Luke tried to get us out of the situation. "I... uhm.. I'll go and walk Chrissy to her hut.." he stuttered and I nodded, grabbing my stuff and walking out of the front door.

"Wow that was awkward." I chuckled as we slowly walked to her hut. "Yeah... Uhm.. Chrissy?" Luke stopped and turned to me. "Huh?"

"See, we've been spending some time together lately and I was wondering if, you know..." he nervously shifted his weight from one foot to the other.

"I know?.." I teased, wanting him to say it out loud.

"I was wondering if you wanted to... uh.. maybe, like, go out with me sometime? I mean if you don't want to, you can obviously say no, because you know, I won't force you to do anything, but I'd be happy if you said ye-"

"You're so awkward." I laughed. "But you know relationships aren't allowed here, right?"

"Yeah, but... i don't know, I just..." Luke stuttered in an adorable way.

"You're so weird." I chuckled.

"I'm not weird! Take that back!" he pouted.

"Make me." I smirked and with that I started running, but he quickly caught up. Since I couldn't run 10 meters straight without falling, I tripped on some air and landed in the grass, causing Luke to trip right next to me.

We laughed for what felt like forever until it faded, leaving us staring into each others eyes.

"Yes..." I breathed out

"What?"

"Yes, I will go on a date with you."
