Chrissy's P.O.V.

I quickly pushed my arms through the sleeves of my flannel and fixed my hair, before opening the door. Who would knock at my door at like 5pm on a thursday afternoon? My friends? Told them I'd meet them at the diner. Other students? Would've been here earlier - well I didn't get many visitors anyway.

The door creaked as I pushed down the handle, revealing a woman who happened to be one of my music course teachers, Mrs. Bale. She was still in her typical teacher clothes - black knee lenght skirt, white blouse, black blazer, black heels, but this time she actually had a smile on her face. "Uhh... Hello, Mrs. Bale. Can I help you with anything?" I politely asked.

"Miss Costanza..." she mumbled, noting something on her clipboard. "I was sent to tell you to come to the principal's room tomorrow at 9am instead of attending psychology class. Please be there in time and bring your certificates."

"Alright, I'll be there." I replied, still in surprise.

"I hope so." she shot me a smile and turned on the heel, leaving me speechless. What if they kicked me off university? What have I done?! Well I guess I would find out the next day...

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

I violently slapped my alarm clock, my fingertips seeking the snooze-button. My sight unblurred and revealed the time when I turned towards the noise. 8:15 am.

Sudden adrenaline rushed through my veins so I jumped out of the sheets and basically fell through the bathroom door. The chilly floortiles made me shiver as I did the usual routine of getting ready. Back in my room, I chucked on a pair of black skinny jeans - for once not the ripped ones - a butt length Guns 'n Roses shirt and white converse. After grabbing my certificates, keys and phone, I rushed out of the door. A glance at my phone told me it was already 8:47 so I quickened my pace - and bumped right into Toby's chest, making me fall on my butt.

"Slow down on the corridors." he mocked our teachers and helped me get up. "I really gotta get to the principal's, like, right now." I breathed out and carried on to walk, checking my phone every two minutes. Ashton's messages unfortunately had to wait.

It was 8:59 when I eventually built up the courage to knock on the door.

"Good morning, Miss Costanza. You've been expected. Please follow me." A tall, blonde secretary instructed me and walked through an opened door. "Hello, Miss Costanza! Glad you're here, you can sit down right there if you want to." The principal, Mr. Dawson, a 50 year old bearded man said to me in an excited voice.

"So, I assume you're wondering what this meeting is meant to be." he arranged some papers on his desk.

I opened my mouth.

"I will tell you." he cut me off. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're attending music class and the majority, no all of your teachers said you're doing very well, which, as you know, is greatly honored at this college."

I kept blankly staring at him, wondering if I'd skipped psychology class just to be told that I was good at music.

"However, I've decided to take a step further and after plenty of correspondance with the University of Arts in Sydney, which highly supports individuality and creativity in today's youth, we've come to the conclusion of trying a certain program for those who have their whole life in front of them. Not only can our students improve their musical vein, but the foreign students can find their strenghts in american subjects as well."

My mouth was broadly opened by now. "Are... Are you saying-" I began to stutter.

"Miss Costanza, one signature on this formula and you'll be flying to Australia next week."

One week later I was in an all too familiar situation. Two bags of luggage beneath my feet, passport in my hands and willing to completely turn my life upside down - once again. Beth, Toby and Adam had planned the sweetest goodbye-party for me and they were kindly supporting my decision. I exhaled deeply and my mouth curled into a smile at the thought of my new life across the big puddle.

I hadn't told anyone besides them about my upcoming journey as I wanted to keep it a surprise - it all happened so fast I didn't even have time to tell anyone anyways.

"Attention. Passengers please board flight 926 to Sydney, Australia." a female voice echoed from the speakers and a few minutes later I set down my carry-on luggage between my legs, put my phone on airplane mode and waited to take off.

As soon as it did, I leaned back in my seat and breathed, allowing my lungs to fill with air. Australia, here I come.
