Damiens POV

I woke up from William's crying eyes to a black void around me. What is this place? Hell? Heaven?

My body felt weak and tired as I tried to stand up, a little shaky but okay.

I looked around at the pure blackness that surrounded me, the atmosphere freezing.

I walked around the place, trying to understand why I'm here and not... Well.. Dead.

Suddenly, a deep red glow appeared in front of me, making me squint from how bright it is.

Once I finally was adjusted to the light, I looked up to see what it was, my body getting tense and my eyes widening from the sight.

It was Mark.

He had a red glow around his body, but he was also wearing the same outfit as ever.

"Hey Damien. Fancy seeing you here... I didn't think you would be here so soon." Mark said in a gloomy voice, his voice somehow echoed the entire void, making it feel like I was in a concert.

"You bastard." I growled.

He sighed and looked down at the ground, he looked sad. but he should have no reason to be. He got what he fucking wanted.

"I'll admit I made a mistake." He admitted.

"A mistake?! Mark, you got us involved in your murder, made William go insane, and caused me to die by the hands of the one I loved! And all you can think is you made a mistake?!" I screamed, watching as he flinched.

"And where the hell am I even?!" I finally asked, looking around at the void, trying to find something. What that could be I didn't even know.

"You're in what I call.. A kingdom. This place is for those who have died unrightfully or are fulfilling a deal." He answered.

Died unrightfully?

"Have I..." "Yes. You died before your time and now I can help you if you desire to be helped." He interuppted before even letting me finish the sentence.

I sighed and looked down at my hands, noticing the blood from my death still on them.

I looked up at Mark and saw he was staring at me.

"What's the catch?" I asked.

"Well... I can bring you to life. But you won't be human anymore. You will be a demon you can say. I will be part of you for the rest of your life and you will be with William again." He said, watching me with a focused gaze.

"And if I don't?" I asked.

He sighed and lifted his hand up next to him, the black void swirling in a circle like coffee being mixed with milk. A picture began to appear from the emptiness.

My eyes widened and a soft gasp escaped my lips as I saw William, leaning over his seat while holding my cane. His hair falling in front of his face to cover every beautiful feature I grew to adore.

"If you say no, William might get caught and killed. Abe left and I assume is going to alert the authorities." Mark butted out in a soft tone.

He moved his hand down and made the picture disappear in the blink of an eye.

"So... do we have a deal?" He muttered, sticking his hand out.

I stared at it and released a sigh, shakily bringing my hand up to shake his softly but in a firm grip.

"Now all you have to do, is let me in." Mark said, his going deeper than before, watching as he faded away and flew into my body like a big red cloud of vapor.

I fell over and coughed hard, my body struggling to stand anymore as I trembled to my knees. I looked down at my hands and noticed they were clean, but my body was being illuminated by a red and blue glow, like a lantern.

Suddenly my head began to pound and a loud scream exited my throat as I blacked out again.

It must have been hours later when I finally woke up.

But this time, instead of being surrounded by the black inky walls, there was color again, the room felt warm but cold at the same time.

I was back.
