The Colonels POV
"DAMIEN!" I cried out, watching as his body hit the floor beneath me.
I grabbed his cane and ran down the stairs fast, falling at the last couple of steps.
I picked myself up and ran to his body, holding him close to me, his blood getting on my jacket. I ripped it off me and pressed it to his wound hard.
"Damien...! It's ok... I'm here.. I'm here...." I sobbed, holding his body close to me.
He was gasping softly for breath, gripping my arm hard in desperation.
I looked around for anyone to help me.
Help me....
"Abe! Help me!" I screamed.
No one. He was gone.
I cried and kept my coat pressed firmly to the wound.
I just cried, my tears hitting his face.
"Damien.... I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry... It was an accident..." I whimpered.
He looked up at me and smiled faintly, blood seeping down his lips. He gripping my shirt and slowly pulled himself up to kiss me.
I kissed back, not caring about the blood, about the heat leaving his lips, not caring about the color draining from his eyes, not one care....
I felt his body slowly begin to droop and go numb in my arms till he was frozen.
I parted from the kiss and watched his breath give out one last time.
He was looking up at me with his lifeless, cold eyes...
"Damien...? Damien?! Damien!" I screamed, desperately trying to wake him.
I kissed him harder than before, holding him closer to me. I gripped his jacket hard, hoping he would feel me.
Wake up.
Wake up..
Wake up...
I parted from his cold lips and sobbed, his blood pooling onto the floor, covering the tape that was Mark's body.
I hugged him close to me and whispered I love you multiple times.
Good-bye my love...
I slowly stood up, my foot hitting his cane. I bent down and picked it up carefully, walking to a nearby chair by his body.
My body settled into the stiff wood as I cradled the cane and sobbed.
My Damien is dead...
Mark was dead...
Abe left to report me for sure...
I was alone...
Alone...
