Luckily, the incident with Mr. Jones was a week before school ended. I got a D. Now it's summer and it storms a lot. That means I have to resist my power. Fabulous. My parents don't let me go outside. The power keeps on building up. I can't take it anymore. I get up and go outside. It is storming. I run to the field behind my house. I am the tallest point on this field. I go here sometimes to relax and think. But not today. Today I harness my power
I wait for lightning to strike. It strikes about a mile away. "Any second now." I think. The lightning appears out of the sky, hot and blue. I draw it towards me. The light surrounds me. I should be dead but I'm not. The lightning is my friend. It won't hurt me.
The energy, it's releasing. My body seems to explode, the light going everywhere. The field is on fire, but I don't care. "Evan you must stop." It is the voice again, but I don't care what it says. I can do anything.
