Analysis Ten

After the brunette fell to the floor, a small group of investigators rushed for him and carried him out of the facility. When they were outside, Mina had caught a glimpse of her significant other and rushed for the men carrying him to the ambulance. They had stopped her and all she could see of the brunette were the paramedics putting an oxygen mask on him, and one of them shutting the doors as the ambulance rushed off.

As the girl looked around, her eyes caught a glimpse of a black haired teen being forced into a police car. She also saw a blond haired man watch the car speed off and he had looked over in her direction. She flinched a bit but gained the confidence she lost when Thomas died and marched over to the man. When she was close enough to talk with him, he was the first to speak.

" I'm assuming you're the lucky girl Eren mentioned during his interrogation. Mina, if I'm not mistaken."

" Yessir, but I'm not here for some friendly chat. I want to know what happened to him."

" Walk with me?"

The girl nodded and they wandered away from the crowd of people surrounding the theater. As they were walking, Erwin started discussing about the brunette's condition.

" I don't know much only that he had to be rushed to the hospital due to a shot to the neck, and thankfully it wasn't an actual bullet or he'd no longer be with us."

" So that's what that shot was, the killer wanted him and he must've known how good of a fighter Eren was before he came after him."

" I'll take you to him if you ask him the questions we need answered. If you agree to this make sure he doesn't get suspicious about what you'll ask him, as he might withhold information again."

Mina thought about it and thought that if it got her clearance to see Eren then she'd gladly do what they asked of her. She nodded her head in approval and the two walked to a bus stop, Erwin helping the girl onto the bus and sitting in the back. As they rode the bus, Erwin handed Mina a paper with questions on it.

" These are the main questions we need answered from him. We asked him before under different context but he wouldn't say a word. So you're our hope right now in getting the information we need to have a trial take place, and sentence this murderer for life."

" Why give that bastard a trial? After what he's done, I don't see why he deserves one."

" It's not my decision to make, that is up to the government, and they have placed a law that allows fair trial for any and all criminals alike."

" It doesn't seem right though. Maybe I'm still stressed after what has happened these past few days."

Eren had woken up with a start and was sitting up in the hospital bed. He sighed and slicked back his hair with both of his sweaty hands.

" Not again... God I hate hospitals..."

The brunette looked around his surroundings and found a glass of water on the nightstand next to his bed on his right, so he reached for the glass and took a few gulps as he was dehydrated from the events at the theater. After a minute a nurse walked into the room and brought in a tray with light foods.

" Miss, could I have some actual food? One small shot to the neck isn't enough to bring me down so far."

" Just start with this and I'll go get a light dinner for you."

" Whatever."

" By the way, you have some visitors."

The brunette cocked his head to one side as he wondered who had come to visit him, but when he saw Erwin walk in with Mina behind his back something akin to resentment towards the blond haired man started to grow.

" So you going to try and drag her into this now? I didn't do this because I wanted to, I did this so I could have her and everyone else I care about live safely when I leave."

" For the military I presume? You're quite the spontaneous teenager aren't you? Well in any case I brought her due to her pleas to see if you were alright, so I'll leave you two be for now."

Erwin left the room and the brunette listened as his steps faded away in the hallway. Mina was next to Eren when he lunged for her and held her tightly in his arms.

" What's wrong?" She asked.

" I'm so glad that you're okay, I didn't want to fail you again." His hold on her tightened as he continued, " If I had made a single mistake either you or me would've died, Hell, he could've killed everyone there! This was supposed to be our night, but then this happened. I'm sorry, Mina."

The girl wrapped her arms around the brunette and cooed softly like a caring mother would, " This wasn't your fault at all, and look! I'm not injured and no one from the theater is either! All because of you, you made sure of that." The girl looked straight at the brunette as she spoke, and then lay a kiss on his forehead.

" You must've saw who he was, the killer, didn't you?" Mina nodded her head, " He was from two years ago, and he was the one who killed Mikasa."

" He looked familiar but I only caught a glimpse due to the police shoving him in the car."

" It's Levi... Levi Ackerman... And I don't know why but he's after me..."

" Do you think he's trying to even out the score about something?"

" If that were the case then I'd know his motive, but I don't. It's like... like he changed over a couple years, he's an entirely different person now. I don't know what happened to him but I can't sit idly by and watch him continue killing those around me."

" I don't remember much about him before all of this, do you think you could tell me about him?"

Eren looked up at her with a small suspicion that Erwin said something to her, but he didn't care anymore. Levi was caught and if he managed to escape, then the investigators would have more than enough information on him than they need.

" I know Erwin set you up for this just so you could see me, but I don't care anymore. He has black hair, an undercut, and his eyes look lifeless. Like a light grey that will make you think he's blind almost. He's a tad shorter than me, he's got fair yet pale skin, and you'll always see him wear dark clothing." The brunette rummaged through his memories to recall Levi's appearance from before and now, " And he's always looking down on people like he's got all the authority, kind of a rouge element so to speak."

" What about Mikasa? What was she like? And didn't she have the same last name as him?"

" She did and that was because they were related by blood. She was his youngest cousin, the others were older and weren't really spoken of at the house. That's all I wanna say about her right now."

Mina looked down at her curled up hands in her lap and listened to Eren sniffle a bit. After a minute Erwin had come back into the room and walked Mina out of the room, seeing that it was almost 10:00 PM and the brunette's parents called about the two.

" Erwin." The man came back to listen, " Come up with some excuse of what happened to me, I don't want to deal with this event first thing I get home."

" It'll be difficult but I'll do that for you. You have a nice night now."

Eren looked out the window as Erwin left the room and the lights were out. The teen could feel that this was only the beginning of something big, and it would only be a matter of time before Levi escapes and comes after him yet again. This time, seeking his blood.

AN: Sorry that this is up late, I fell asleep writing this last night as I've been depriving myself of sleep for the past week now. So here's the new chapter and I'm going to update Sharp Shooter now. Hope you enjoyed and I'll see you in the next chapter!!!
