It was dark, cold, cramped, and unbearable for the killer. Before the investigators shoved him in the police car, they had put a blindfold over his eyes as to prevent him from seeing where he'd be going. When they arrived he could feel the investigators remove his clothing and replace them for something else, and then the feeling of long sleeves wrapping around him followed by a secured belt around his chest and back. The investigators then put him into a dully that locked him in place with more belts and the raven could feel them move him somewhere else, and when they stopped, they unlocked him and led him into a room where he'd be staying. They removed his blindfold and quickly left the room, shutting and locking the door behind them.
Levi was able to walk around the room but his arms were bound to his body to prevent him from escaping by any means necessary. Though his blindfold was removed it seemed as though the room was as pitch black with it on. The room around him was bare of anything for him to use, all that remained was a bed and a single person dinning table with a chair. On the wall where his bed was placed beside stood a giant mirror, and nothing else on the walls were in the room. He assumed that was the interrogation mirror where the investigators would be keeping watch over him. He chuckled and went over to his bed to sit down and think over his possibilities of escaping.
Eren, however, was still in the hospital recovering with the ever increasing tension. Mina and Armin have caught wind on the brunette's changed demeanor, but try to ignore it and tell him about their day and families. Mina's parents were grateful for Eren helping their daughter but they had started asking his parents if she could start coming back to their house, seeing as they were worried about any excessive activities in the bedrooms. Eren could care less about that though, he just needed to get out of that hospital and go to work to finish gathering the money he'd need to buy the house he told them about. The idea of buying a house was not only to get away from his parents but so he could have enough room to train as a soldier, and as of now so he could learn more about Levi.
The brunette was finally discharged and as he was walking towards his job he received a call from Erwin, the head of the investigators sent out to capture the raven. He sighed and answered.
" What do you want now?"
" I know we only caught him yesterday and you've only been discharged as of recent, but could you spare some time in visiting him? Mina had told me that the two of you knew each other before hand and we'd like as much information as we can get."
He knew that was going to happen, but Eren decided to go along with it.
" Alright. Fine, but this better be the last thing you guys need from me. I'm getting tired of being a part of this, and so is everyone else."
" I know, Eren, but thank you. We'll pick you up where you work, if it's not too much trouble."
" No that's good, I was heading that way anyhow."
" See you there then."
The call ended. Eren shoved his phone into his pocket and continued his walk.
When he arrived at the pharmacy he worked at, he saw that a black car was parked in front of the doors in the parking lot. Eren walked over to the vehicle and knocked on the window. The window rolled down and the brunette looked inside.
" Nice to see you again, Eren."
" It hasn't been that long man, anyway. We gonna go or what?"
" When you get in we'll go."
The car doors came unlocked and the teenager opened the door and sat down inside. The engine roared awake and in about ten minutes they were on the highway. The car ride was quiet, no music, no conversation, nothing but the sound of the engine picking up speed every now and then. As the ride continued to withhold its silence, Eren spent the time thinking about when he and Levi were the best of friends. They had known each other since first grade but Eren didn't get to hang out with Levi as he was always sent to the nurses office when they had the chance to be together. The brunette knew there was something wrong with him but he didn't care and tried to make Levi see that as well, because it seemed to the both of them that when someone knew about the raven's condition they did their best to steer clear from him.
Eren found it saddening to watch and so he remained by Levi's side since, but as the years went by it seemed as though his condition was becoming worse by the day. By the time they were in high school they could barely see each other anymore, and when they were sophomores Levi had stopped coming to school altogether. At first Eren didn't want to be with anyone else and all he could think about was Levi, but that's when he met Mikasa. She had reminded the brunette so much of the raven he grew up with that he couldn't stay away from her. Before he knew it they had become a thing, but he liked the idea of it. The two got to know each other more and more by the day, the brunette learning that she was Levi's cousin, and that he had a way to communicate with Levi.
The brunette's thoughts were interrupted by Erwin getting his attention, as they had arrived to the building in which his old friend was located. When Eren stepped out of the car and looked around, his eyes widened as he realized where he was. He turned to Erwin and asked him something.
" This is where my father works, isn't it?" The man nodded, " Why is he here?! Does my father even know who he is?!"
" We've told him about this Levi Ackerman fellow, and at first he seemed quite shocked but he seemed as though he knew we'd put him here. He agreed to letting us place him here under strict guard for the time being in hopes of helping him a little bit before his trial." The man held out his hand and waved it for Eren to follow, " Shall we go inside?"
Eren gulped and nodded, slowly following Erwin inside the building of which his father worked at, the mental hospital for those with "weak minds" is what his father referred to call them as. While they were walking down the hallways, the brunette was greeted to by multiple staff members as his father would bring him here occasionally. Eventually the pair had reached a large metal door and walked inside after opening it. Erwin flipped a switch and the lights turned off, at first the teen was confused but he soon realized why Erwin had done what he did. The only things in the room were a table with chairs and a window looking into another room.
" What is this? I've never seen this room in here before."
" It's relatively new, and this is what you'd see in action movies as of late. One side is a mirror and the other a window. The way a one-way mirror works is that one room has to be lit while the other is dark, thus explaining way this side of the mirror is dark."
" Who's inside?"
" Who did I bring you here to see?"
" You mean?!"
" Yes." Erwin picked up a microphone that was plugged into the wall that sat on the table and pressed a button, " Levi Ackerman, we've brought you who you wanted to speak with."
There was silence but eventually a small and slender figure emerged from Eren's right. The person in front of him was the same person from those years back.
" About time you brought him here. There's so much we need to catch up on."
