Analysis Fifteen

The night was dark and cold from the early spring, but in a way it was the perfect cover for Eren. He had been sitting in the car waiting to go inside his father's Mental Hospital with his phone to his ear, pretending so the cameras outside wouldn't suspect anything. Once it was time he lowered his phone and got out of the car. When he was inside he went over to the café and looked around for his notebook, it wasn't there, so he went over to the administration desk to check the lost and found. While he was searching through there, someone tapped the brunette's shoulder and he quickly turned around only to see Julia Gardener.

" Eren, what are you doing here?"

" Jesus Juli, ha, well I lost my notebook and I couldn't find it anywhere in my house so I thought I left it here by accident."

" Now that you mention it I did find a notebook at the café, hold on." Julia walked over to her desk and opened a drawer, taking out Eren's notebook, " I figured you wouldn't want anyone to peak inside if someone else found it, so I put it in my drawer for safe keeping."

" Thanks a bunch, oh. Do you think I could check up on Levi real quick?"

" Why's that?"

" I'm just worried about him is all, and even though he may not show it he's scared. So even if he'd asleep I just want to make sure he's okay."

" You are seriously going to get me fired, but alright. Follow me."

" Thank you so much Juli."

" And when are you going to drop that name already, we're not kids anymore."

" Oh believe me, we still are."

They exchanged small jokes before reaching Levi's door. Julia used her ID and the door opened, and while looking around the room they saw a figure standing to the immediate left. Julia jumped back and hid behind Eren.

" It's okay Julia, he won't hurt you. He just makes ya jump at times, he did the same thing to me earlier today. You can go if you're afraid."

The girl nodded and quickly walked away. Eren looked back to face Levi only to jump back as well from the raven being directly in front of him.

" When are you going to stop doing that? Anyway, let's get you out of here."

" Did you think about the cameras?"

" Yes, part of the reason why I'm dressed in black, and I've them on loop of one recording for the time being. So once we leave I'll switch them back to normal."

" You just keep proving yourself useful more and more don't you?"

" Remember the deal? You're not to kill anyone during the week I'm with you."

" I hear you, though I'll have some withdrawals so you'd better be prepared for anything with me around."

" Like I didn't already know that. We need to make it seem like you managed to escape, so when I close the door catch it with your fingertips. And take this."

Eren handed Levi an earpiece for them to communicate to each other while they were separated, so the brunette put his in his ear while the raven did the same. The brunette nodded and started to close the door. Once he knew Levi caught the door he left the hospital and got into his car. Eren backed up and turned around for the side road next to the Hospital, heading for the back. Once he was in the back, Eren got out of his car once more and headed for the door Levi would be. He opened the door and Levi came out of the building. The brunette quickly unbound the raven and got into his car, Levi doing the same. Eren put his seatbelt on and pressed on the gas pedal easily as he didn't want to leave any marks when there weren't any.

When they were on the main road, Eren stopped at a stop light and quickly turned the cameras back to normal. After which he left out an exasperated sigh, gripping onto the steering wheel tightly.

" You seem stressed, not like you shouldn't since I do have your friends and family on the line, but be honest. You did this under your own selfish reasoning, right?"

" ... I don't wanna talk about it."

" Oh I get it, you're doing this out of fear of what I might do! Come on Eren! I know you did this out of selfish interests!"

" Then if you know then shut up!"

" Be careful of what you say, Eren. You're lucky I won't kill you right now because I find you valuable for the time being."

The light turned green and the brunette put his foot down steadily to start moving the car again. Eren's thoughts swirled violently in his head and now with what Levi has said to him he couldn't focus on driving, so with that he pulled into a park parking lot and stopped the car suddenly. The brunette lay his head atop his hands on the steering wheel, eyes shut, and tried to organize his thoughts.

" Looks like we'll be out here for a whi-"

" Could you just shut up, please... I need to calm down and you talking right now is making things worse..."

To his surprise, the raven had indeed stopped talking. By this action Eren had to really wonder if his childhood friend was still in Levi's mind, or if not why the raven was acting like this. Levi said so himself that he could've escaped by himself, so why ask Eren for help? Why not escape without any thing holding him back and go on about his life? Something wasn't adding up for the brunette which was why his head was so dizzy. He wanted to know exactly what Levi was trying to accomplish by having him around. Eren gently hit his head on the steering wheel before sitting up in his seat and driving out of the parking lot. The rest of the ride was silent, which was odd, but relaxing.

Eren had pulled into his new home and shut the car off before getting out.

" I thought you said you had yet to pay for this." Levi questioned.

" They said I could stop by and check it out whenever I wanted to, minus well use that to our advantage." Eren replied monotonously.

The brunette walked to the front door and unlocked it with the spare key the estate agent gave him, after which he went inside.

Levi however was both excited to set his plan into motion into motion, but he couldn't do it yet with Eren being like this. With that it set him to thinking as he walked inside the house, following Eren as the brunette had instructed him to do so. The brunette led the raven into a bed room and Levi watched as Eren set his bag down on the bed, taking out some clothes for the raven.

" Here, I remembered you were always about my size so these should fit you. If you need anything else I'll be in the living room." Eren left.

Levi went over to the bed and started to change out of the wraps into the comfortable hoodie that lay on the bed. After the raven had changed out of the hospital clothing, he had found a pair of earbuds and an iPod in the bag so he plugged in the earbuds into the device and selected a playlist. He put the device into his pocket and walked around the room looking for a piece of paper and something to write with, but all he had to do was look in the bag on the bed. Levi took out a notebook and a mechanical pencil and walked over to a desk, sitting down in the chair and opening the notebook to a blank page.

" With Eren like this I'll need to bend the rules to the deal we made, but just enough so I can get my point across." Levi muttered to myself as he drew out and wrote his plan on the page, " And if I throw her into the mix... oh this is going to be great!"
