Chapter Twenty-Four

Luke's POV

Plopping myself down on the lounge I looked at Hadley. She was skin and bones. She needed to eat more. I blame all of this shit on Harry. I knew about Hadley from the start, I just never met the girl, and it's a good thing I came in at the right time, otherwise she'd be dead along with Cody. I mean Cody was a nice guy, but Harry never liked him. He got in the way of Harry's plan. Harry wanted Hadley alone to himself. Ever since he first layed eyes on her I knew that he was going to do the same thing he did with Joey. I couldn't let Hadley die. I couldn't. She was too innocent and she's already been through so much. I couldn't. Glancing the room, I noticed Michael and Hadley were laughing, Ashton was eating a banana, and Calum was being ridiculously shy for some reason. He hasn't said a word since Hadley appeared, which is weird.

"Hey, Michael, leave the girl alone." Ashton laughed as Michael was tackling, or tickling, Hadley as she burst into laughter.

She's cute when she laughs.

I was deep in thought when Hadley tapped my shoulder.

"Luke, I'm real tired. Is there anywhere I can sleep?" Hadley was playing with her long jumper sleeve and she looked adorable.

"Sure, right this way." I led her into my room, and when she got all cozied up in my bed, I smiled to myself

I think I love the girl.

Hadley's POV

Waking up in a strange bed, in a strange surrounding with a strange leg draped overtop of mine, I started to panic. Slipping off the bed and landing with a thud, the person on the bed burst into laughter.

"Hadley are you okay?" The boy's laugh was jolly and pure. Sitting up, I saw Luke.

"Hi Luke." I giggled.

"Hi Hadley. Do you want breakfast?" Luke's sleepy voice was cute, and my stomach grumbled with hunger.

"Yeah." I agreed, and padded down the stairs. As soon as I reached the kitchen and grabbed an apple, the doorbell rang, which Luke ran to the door faster than you can say 'doorbell'. He had flung open the door and four boys were standing there. They looked familar.

"NIALL!" Luke screeched.

Niall...

Those were the guys who had walked in on me and Gemma beating Harry.

Oops.

"Hey Luke! We just need to ask Hadley a few questions." Niall looked serious and I got scared.

"Hadley do you know where Harry is? He hasn't called in a long time." Niall nervously picked at his fingernails and I chewed the inside of lip.

"No. I-I don't know where he is. I haven't seen him in a while, either." I spat, and Liam just looked at me weirdly.

"Okay. Well we have to find him, so, uh, bye guys! " Liam ushered all of the guys out of the house with a slam of the door.

"That was weird." Luke mummbled to himself.

"Yeah..." My mind was somewhere else as Luke was babbling on about breakfast, which, I wasn't very hungry anymore. The fact that those boys didn't know where Harry was scared me. He could be anywhere. Heck, he could even be standing outside.

"Hadley... Haaaaaadley..." Luke snapped his finger in front of my face and I focused my eyes and smiled.

"Do you want eggs and bacon? Or bagels? Or do you just want cereal, or toast or maybe fruit salad? We have lots of food." Luke grinned and I just laughed, as Michael sauntered into the kitchen in just his boxers.

"MICHAEL GO PUT PANTS ON!" Luke squealed, which made the sleepy Michael just shrug and turn around back into the hallway. Luke was chuckling to himself as he slipped a bagel into the toaster, so I took a seat at the table and drummed my fingernails on the table.

"Oh Hadley that's Ashton's spot, you might want to move." Groaning and slipping into the spot next to it, I smacked my head down on the table. I was so tired, and I remembered Cody, which brought unexpected tears to my eyes. Sniffling and wiping the tears with my sweater sleeve, I buried my head into my arms, and cried. My life sucked. As the toaster popped, I could hear the phone ringing, and of course, Luke ran to the phone and grabbed it.

"Hello?" He asked questionally. He listened for a second, then gasped.

"Uh... Okay... I-I'll be right there." Smacking the phone down on the table, he glanced at me.

"They found Harry."
