Beep, beep, beep, beep

"Hadley wake up... Can you hear me Hadley? Are you okay?" Asked an unfamiliar voice. I was still sleepy, but I could hear him. I groggily opened my eyes.

"Good morning, sleepy." Said a Doctor, who was standing by my bed.

"I can't stay here, I need to go." I started to get out of bed, but the Doctor stopped me.

"No can do Hadley, you have to stay until your parents come to pick you up." I groaned and slammed my head down on the pillow.

"Hadley, you told your parents about the last visit you had here... Correct?" The Doctor asked, sounding a bit disappointed. My face immediately went red.

"Yeah... Yeah I did." I lied, nodding my head and faking a smile.

"Hadley I know a lie when I see one. I was counting on you to tell your parents. Why didn't you, exactly?" He asked with concern.

Well for starters, they abuse me every chance they get, they drink, smoke, are alcoholics and don't pay any attention to me. They wouldn't care and wouldn't listen.

No, I couldn't say that.

"Um... I don't know..." My head turned to the side, embarrassed to speak to the Doctor. I could hear him groan.

"Hadley, you needed to tell them! What about the ambulance bills? Who paid those? The signatures on the papers? What about the phone calls we made?"

"That was me..." I glanced up to see his face, and he looked mad.

"Well I have to phone them now. I'll be back soon." He quickly exited the room with a slam of the door. What have I done.
