Kate was so beautiful, the way she looked in the moonlight made me want her even more.
"I have a few people I have in mind that I'm kinda interested in." She shrugged, tilting her head to look up at the moon.
You could tell she was broken, which hurt me. I don't want her to be broken, I want her to love me back.
"Like who."
"I like you" she said in a simple voice, her eyes never moved from the moon.
"I like you too."
"But I can't-" I cut her off.
"I know you're broken. It's alright if you don't wanna be together."
"I do. But maybe in a few weeks." Her eyes softly locked with time.
She pulled me in and kissed me.
"Till then" she smiled.
"Till then" I whispered back.
