I nervously walked into lunch, my tray of food practically shaking in front of me. I saw Kate sitting alone at a circle table, I eagerly rushed over to greet her.
"Hi. So tell me why you were groaning back at third hour." I spat out, setting my tray of food down.
"All the girls are after me!" she whined.
"I don't see that as a problem" I winked, nudging her playfully with my elbow.
"It's a problem if they're being creepy and you're not even interested" she laughed, biting into a baby carrot.
"Who's being creepy?" I asked curiously, hoping my name wasn't the answer.
"This chick named Peyton. She came on way to strong and flirted like hell!" she groaned.
"Oh. Sorry about her." I frowned.
"Why are you sorry?"
"That one of my close friends I guess, she's always been trying to get into girls pants. It's awful having to hear about the girls she sleeps with on weekends. Once it was my ex girlfriend" I said poking at my salad.
Kate's jaw practically dropped. "Was it before or after the breakup?" She put her carrot down and turned her full attention towards me.
"Not even a week after." I rolled my eyes and opened my Gatorade.
"That's awful!"
Matt and Brandon joined us at our table, along with Blake.
"Describe Peyton in one word." I muttered to them.
"Funny." Matt replied.
"Friendly." Brandon said.
"Annoying." Blake spat.
"Peyton Aries." I roles my eyes.
"Oh her?" Brandon laughed,
"Whore"
"Total slut."
"Broke prostitute" Blake snorted, which sent our whole table into laughter.
The laughter died when Peyton and Maggie appeared with lunch trays behind me.
"Watcha guys talking bout?" she smiled as she sat down next to me.
"Broke prostitues" Blake snorted again.
"I don't see how that's funny but okay" Maggie sighed, as she started to cut her pizza.
"Such a girl" I rolled my eyes.
"We were actually talking about how cute Kate and Blare are together." Brandon winked.
My face burned in embarrassment, I shot a quick glance at Kate who's face was also bright pink.
"Ill be right back." Peyton hissed as her dark red face left the cafeteria.
"Awkward" Matt laughed.
"I don't know what's wrong with her" Maggie laughed awkwardly.
"Does anybody?" Brandon laughed.
By the time lunch ended, Kate and I were already walking downstairs to the band room.
