Tears formed in my eyes. 'They knew about him, AND she's gonna kill me,' "Harper what the hell? New York?! Who is Emily?!" He asked. "No Riker, you don't understand. It's complicated." "Who is this?" Riker questioned, "How do they know who I am? Did that man in the elevator hide something in here?" He paced carefully, moving me outside into the hallway. He looked around carefully and whispered, "It sounds dangerous." I picked up my phone, dialing the one number I knew to call, "Creighton, it's Harper," "What's the matter? It's late." He sounded angry. "Get the team here now, something happened at my apartment." "Please tell me whats going on before I call the police." Riker said, looking into my eyes. "I'm already on the phone with them." I said, finally defeated. I had to tell him the truth. The whole truth.
Riker's eyes looked full of confusion and worry and before I knew it, the FBI unit was searching through my apartment, as well as Riker's, Ross' and anyone else who might know me. We all had to check in to a hotel down the street. Rydel, Ellington, and I had to tell exactly what had happened by us three, because now we were all in danger, Rocky because he lived with Ellington and Ross because he worked with us. Ross was supposed to be on duty at our place, but for personal reasons (aka he was drunk off his ass) he had asked to not work the case tonight.
In the early hours of the morning Riker was overwhelmed and confused, and Rocky, who had met us at our hotel, was so exhausted he said he'd ask questions in the morning. Everyone had gone to their beds for the night, the suite they had gotten us wasn't big enough for us six, but we had to make it work, and at 5 am when we finally checked in, we didn't care to argue. Rydel and Ross took one bed, Ellington took the twin bed in the opposite room, and Rocky got the couch in there, leaving Riker and I cuddled as close as possible on a loveseat. Now not only were we out of our homes, but most of us would wake up later with incredible hangovers.
"So these people are after you guys?" Riker asked into the darkness. "You can't tell anyone Riker... We were not supposed to tell anyone, but it's not safe for me to be in that apartment and if we don't get out, I'm afraid of what will happen to us." I tried my hardest to keep from crying. "You said us..." He took my hand as we lay on the loveseat at 6 am, unble to sleep. "Yeah. I worry about us." I said. "I'm sorry about all of this," "Don't be." He responded into the dark, "I'm 100% here for you babe. All three of you guys." He paused, "At least I know why you take your jobs so seriously now." He laughed. I laughed too, "Yeah..." "So where are we going? What are we doing?" He said, "We can't stay in that building." "I know." I sighed, "We have to move and so do Rydel and Ellington and Rocky and probably Ross." "So basically everyone." "Yeah..." I said quietly, finally realizing how many lives were getting screwed up because of this. "It's really all my fault..." I said to him, "Isn't it?" "In what context?" He whispered, "Because I see no reason why would be your primary fault. It's your job. Sometimes people don't want the good guys to win, and they'll do everything in their power to make sure that happen. I wouldn't blame yourself Harper, you're in enough of a bad situation without putting that guilt on your sleeve."
Riker kissed my head, "We can get house hunting as soon as possible..." "Okay." I said. "Thank you for being honest with me." He kissed my forehead yet again and I nodded in response, setting my head on his chest and hugging him tightly. I sat in silence listening to his heart beat against my own, almost in sync, knowing that this was where I was supposed to be, I wasn't safe, but I knew Riker made me feel that way, and even in my half-drunken head, I knew loved him whether I was ready to admit it or not.

I woke up to a telehpone ringing, making everyone in our room jump, "Someone get it..." Riker mumbled, gripping me tighter into him and not letting me move, "I think it's mine..." I grumbled, prying away from his death grip. I stumbled in the bright room, only just now seeing Rydel and Ross move as if they were concious. "He-Hello?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. "Soliel it's Creighton, can we speak please?" "I guess..." "Great I'm outside the door." I shook my head, "What?" Looking out the peep hole at the door and sure enough there the shorter man stood with two guards. "Fuck my life..." I grumbled, "Alive and up guys, Creighton's here." I called, going over to Ellingon and Rocky's door and kocking on it.
