'Shit!' I thought, 'Rydel's gonna freak,' "Don't just say we're moving in!" I laughed, "We're just gonna be roommates." I said, looking around to the people in the room.

"Fun!" Ross said trying to liven up the enthusiasm, "Now we can all gather at Riker's more because it'll be cleaner." "It's not that messy!" Riker fought back. "Yes it is!" I giggled, "But we'll get a system." I smiled, winking at him. Rydel fixed her eyes on me. "Harper, let's fix drinks in the kitchen please?" She glared. I nodded, patting Riker's thigh and getting up to walk across the room. In the kitchen Rydel got out the blender and her drink recipe book. "What the hell Harp?" She asked, "You know he's head over heels for you. What are you doing to him?" I shook my head, "Rydel, he's one of my BEST friends, and it's not safe for me to live alone there..."

"I call bullshit." Rydel stated, putting things in the blender and starting it. "Things are gonna go that way Harper, you know it. You need to tell him why you moved in, because you're lying to him." "In what way?" I asked. Ellington's face appeared in the door way, "You told Riker you loved him?!" He whisper yelled, looking straight at me. Rydel's eyes became fire, "You what?!" She exploded, trying to whisper, "Holy fuck Harper, you're trying to rip his heart out!" I shook my head, "He wasn't supposed to tell you all about that! I needed him. I need him, Rydel. I need somewhere to live and I adore him, but it's not safe for me to live alone... And it's not safe for us to be together! They'd target him too." She poured the drinks and started handing a couple at a time to Ratliff. "You better tell him you lied or I will."

I nodded, looking at the floor, "I just don't know what to do." I said, "He's the best friend I've ever had. And we get along so well. I do love him I just don't-" "You don't want the relationship part?!" She glared at me. "No, no," I shook my head. "I just need to figure out what's going on. Okay?" I pleaded, "Don't tell him. I will when the time is right!" I said, "I'm trying to keep him safe.." I told her. She nodded, "Okay." She motioned for me and moved toward her pantry. She took out two shot glasses and her favorite, vanilla vodka. "Let's just forget this for tonight. Okay?" She asked me. I nodded, taking the extra glass from her. "Cheers." I said, downing it and feeling the alcohol burn my throat. "Ahhhh," She said, suddenly giggling. "Let's go."

"I know, I know." Ross said, tipsy as all get out. We all sat on the floor in Rydel's place deciding that the boys would stay at Ellington's place across the hall and I would stay with Rydel so we didn't have to walk home so late and drunk. "Let's play truth or dare." He giggled. "Stupid Idea," Riker said, "But why not." "Okay," Ross smiled, pulling out his phone. He put up his truth or dare app and we began playing. After an hour of prank calling their brother in California, talking about our favorite sex positions, and watching Rydel and Ellington make out twice because of how hammered they were, I was getting tired. "One more pleaseeeeee," Ross begged. "Fine," I said, "Then Riker and I are actually gonna go home." Ross shook his phone, "Kiss the person across from you." he said aloud, looking straight up to me. "Shit, um," I laughed, "Maybe, we'll, um,"

"It's just a dare," Ellington laughed, just do it or you have to go something worse." "I'll deal with a worse one." I said, not wanting to risk making Riker angry. I shook it and waited. "Double dare, kiss the youngest person playing for thirty seconds." I looked up, "Fuck," I put my head down. Ross laughed, "You just can't escape meeee." He giggled, coming towards me.

I know I'd be pissing off Riker, but then again, angry sex with Riker was one of my favorite things. "Okay," I sighed, leaning into him. My lips touched his and although I didn't feel the sparks I felt with Riker, it was fiery. His tongue went into my mouth and Rydel wooed and clapped. I felt Riker's eyes burning into my face, even with my eyes closed. Ross' lips molded to mine effortlessly, damn, he'd done this before.

"It's been thirty seconds." Riker said, pulling Ross off of me. "We're going home Harper." "What?" I asked, looking at him, "We're having a good time." I stated. "No, Ross is. Come on," he said, pulling me up and waving goodbye to everyone without another glance back. "What the hell Riker?!" I yelled, "You and I aren't together!" I said, "It was a fucking game!" "If you love me," he whispered, "then you wouldn't be kissing my brother like that," "But," I said, "I mean, I do, but," "But what? Do you not?" He asked, looking hurt. We continued walking down the street almost to our apartments. "I do." I said, "I'm sorry." I said, looking down. I knew I was going to cry out of the sheer fact I wasn't even sure if I was lying anymore, all I knew was I was hurting him and he didn't even know it.

"Good," he said, leading me to the elevator and pressing me against the wall, "Because you're mine," he said close to me. His hand gripped firm on my arm. "Yours?" I said suddenly turned on at his actions. "No more truth or dare shit Harper, you are mine. Deal?" He asked. I looked up at him, his tall, attractively muscular body standing over me with some form of dominance he had never shown before. I had always been in control, but now he had the control over me. It was evident. The elevator dinged and we prepared to get out. A tall, familiar man showed up next to us. "Shit," I muttered, gripping Riker's arm tightly to move away from the man that had been attempting to follow me the whole week, he still hadn't recognized it was me. He was headed off of the same floor we were going to.

"Get off now," I whispered to him, "Riker go inside your place please. I'll meet you right there." "Why? Is everything okay." "I'm not sure," I said. Sure enough my door was unlocked. "Shit," I mumbled, going in. "You locked your door Harper, what happened?" Riker said. "Riker please go to your place." He didn't answer, just looked at me. I looked through my mail sitting on the floor, not where I had left it. And it wasn't there when we went to change earlier.

Sure enough the same kind of envelope and hand writing was there. I read it, unaware that Riker was behind me. "Emily, I've heard you and your little friends be moving to New York for reassignment? I hope you don't mind if I've left you a little house warming present somewhere in your apartment here. If you don't find it, then enjoy New York and I'll see you there, if you do find it however, my apologies to your family and friends for their loss. Also tell your blonde friend that he's quite adorable. Yours truly, Angela,"
