"Happy Thanksgiving!!" Rydel yelled, walking through our front door. Riker laughed out loud and turned to face them, "Quite a day to be on house arrest!" He got up quickly and came into the kitchen, kissing me on the cheek swiftly. He grabbed an apple from the counter and took a bit of it, offering me a bite as I peeled potatos. "Thank you," I said through chewing my piece. Ross came into the kitchen and helped Rydel put her food down. "How much longer are we stuck here?" Ross asked, taking a swig of his beer.
"Creighton told us we weren't allowed to leave our houses until he said so." Rydel chimed in. I put our turkey in the oven. Ross laughed and pointed at her, "So aren't you like, not supposed to be here?" He said, turning to Ellington and Rocky on the couch. "Eh," Rocky shrugged, "We broke the rules," He threw a piece of pop corn in the air and caught it in his mouth, earning claps of approval from his siblings.
"Riker, can you grab that flour for me?" I asked patiently. "Yes," He said, trailing off into doing something on his phone. "Riker Anthony," I cooed, batting my eyes, "Please, I have my hands full," I sighed. "Yes!" He said, putting his phone down to hand me the flour, "Sorry baby doll, I had to finish confriming my flight info." He kissed my cheek and handed it to me.
Riker's position at a Record Label had been keeping him busy for two weeks. He was going out of town starting tomorrow for a week, so I was happy to at least have the holiday to spend wih him and the rest of the family. "I can't believe you have to leave tomorrow..." I pouted, wrapping my arms around Riker and snuggling up to him. "I know baby," He whined, kissing the top of my head and wrapping his arms back around me. "I love you," He whispered to me, making me blush, "I love you..." I sighed happily, grabbing his hands around me and dancing in the kitchen.
Riker twirled me and I laughed, dancing close to his chest and looking almost straight up at his face. His smiled grew calm and the music in our back ground was the only thing I could hear. He spun me around and stopped, leaning over to hug me and kiss me, "I-" "WOO!!!" We heard screaming from the living room, "It's football time baby!" Rocky yelled, clapping, "Riker stop kissing your girlfriend and get your ass over here!" Riker rolled his eyes and smiled at me, "We could do that same thing on our wedding day..." "With a different outcome other than your brother yelling about the Denver Bronco's..." I giggled, letting go of his hand. "Bye," He said, winking at me and walking into our living room.
Rydel walked into the kitchen minutes later to help me finish up Thanksgiving dinner, hand in hand with Ellington, who also offered his culinary genius. He helped Rydel make Pumpkin Pie and kissed her cheek every few seconds. "Hey Del?" Riker shouted from the living room. "Hey what?" She sung happily. "What did you tell Mom about why we aren't at Thanksgiving?" He called. She giggled and looked at me, "I told her we all had the flu." "Every one of us?" I asked. "We live together!" She laughed, "I can't tell her we're on house arrest!"
I rolled my eyes at her remark and we called everyone to eat. Eveyone sat around the living room and ate so the boys could watch football. I wasn't a huge fan myself, but they all liked it and so we watched the game. An hour after we ate I got a call from the office telling me they didn't approve Riker leaving. To be honest I didn't either, the company he was working with in Baltimore had approved his transfer to LA, so I didn't understand why he had to go back to Baltimore for a week. The Jobs that Charlotte had offered Rydel and I were easy. We had met with her at lunch to discuss everything, and somehow I became a fashion researcher for one of the biggest designers in the world. We were required to go and do inventory in the store every once and a while, but other than that we were required to write three to five blog posts a week about the trends in the market, what we were wearing that day, or what we were seeing was good for a certain occasion. Perks of the job: most of the time you can write in your pajamas, and you get free clothes.
Turning away from the reciever I asked Riker to come to the kitchen to talk to me. "Baby, they said we're in witness protection for a reason, if you go back there, you're running a high risk." I told him. "I can't just tell them no, Harp, I'm leaving early tomorrow morning..." "But you have to stay, It's not safe there..." I looked up at him with puppy dog eyes. "I don't think it's a problem," He kissed my cheek, "Tell them not to worry about it." He said. I nodded and told the man on the reciever, "He's okay..." I said shakily. "Are you sure Mrs. Lynch?" He asked me. I gasped at the use that name. "Yeah," I sighed, looking over at him, "I trust him,"

"I love you baby girl," I heard a whisper from the side of my head and opened my eyes, "Whaa?" I mumbled, looking at my clock. "Crap, I meant to get up with you, why didn't you wake me Riker?" I rubbed my eyes. "You stayed up late cleaning and I didn't want to wake you," He kissed the side of my head, "Don't get up," He whispered. I defied him and got out of bed, putting on my shorts and his t shirt, I moved to the front door with him and his suit case. "I love you," I said, kissing his cheek. "I love you too," He smiled. "Bye," I waved, watching him get into the car and be driven off.And then I went back to bed.
