*Mew's POV

I hear my, technically Archer's, door open. To reveal, well Archer. They're wearing a Metallica shirt, that still showed how fit they were, and dark jeans. They usually come in and talk to me when I have a memory, or when they just want to. They come in a lot and they have probably become a possibly good friend. Especially since they're near my age, I remember Tony telling me to not tell the social worker my real age. I'm still waiting for that test result. But I can't really trust anyone. So, I have to be careful around them. I fake a smile as they come in, they find it immediately.
"What's wrong Mewey?" They say sitting down on the bed.
They wouldn't let me get up and even helped me go to the bathroom. They were worse than my dad. That also made Kitten a good nickname, clingy, protective, and absolutely unpredictable. They're usually nice to me, unless I break the rules. It gets a little annoying but that's just Kitten.
"I'm fine Kitten." I say, making them slide closer.
"What. Is. Wrong?" They say and show their teeth little.
"I... I just," I groan and put my hands in my hair. "Why won't they stop?"
"What won't stop?" They ask bitterly. "Did you not take your medicine? You know they help with the pain and the flashbacks."
"I never take my medicine, it's not gonna make it any better." I hiss.
"Yes, the will," they say, standing up and crossing their arms. "Where are they?"
I stay quiet, crossing my arms as well. I give a slight smirk, the memories make me sarcastic and a little wicked. Archer picks my head up and moves my pillow, nothing was there. Archer looks underneath the other pillow, still nothing. I let out a slight giggle.
"Did you get up or use your powers?" They say, giving me a suspicious look.
Again, I say nothing. They get on top of me their orange eyes turning dark. I shake a bit, but I don't give in. I'm too scared to speak.
"Night... did you break the rules?" They growl.
"Throwing isn't against the rules. So technically..." I start.
Archer rolls their eyes, gets off of me and walks out. I sigh and turn on my side, and look up at the IV, where I had balanced the pills. It had taken twenty minutes. I hear the door reopen, Archer again. They walk over to me, put a drink on the side table, and get back on top of me. They look at me and smile.
"Please." Archer whimpers.
My eyes twitch in the direction of the IV. They apparently have A plus vision, because they grab the pills from the hiding place.
"No, no." I spit, biting my lips.
"Come on just take the pills." They say and try to force the pills in my mouth. "I don't want to do this. Mewey, please."
I shake my head. They grip my chin, and I try to fight back. Archer, gets annoyed and his grip tightens. He forces my mouth open and forces the pills in my mouth. I start choking, he grabs the drink and I gulp it down. I realize what it is after I have it in my system. That was sleep medicine. I growl at him, now extremely upset. Archer gives me a small smile.
"They will help." They whisper. "I'll be downstairs if you want me. Just call me."
(Time Skip: one hour)
I stir uncomfortably and clench my head in pain. I whimper, starting to cry and curl up into a ball of pain.
'Kitten...' I cry in my mind.
'What did I say about powers?' They scold.
'It hurts...'
'I'm coming... hold on.'
I shake in my little ball. This is why I hate the medicine. It makes me think too much and my powers go haywire. Especially the stone, but Archer helps with the pain. I feel the bed get warmer and Archer rubs my head. They curl up close to me.
"What hurts?" They whisper.
"Everything Archer, everything."
They know something's up if I call them by Archer. It really hurts, I want it to stop.
"What can I do?" They whisper.
"You could've not given me the dang pills jerk."
They get close and leans their forehead to mine.
"I'll stay as long as you need."
They fall asleep in a matter of minutes. Archer was just in training, they deserve a few hours of sleep. I'm glad I can give them that.
I wake up to Peter gently shaking me awake. I smile at him, he ruffles my hair.
"Shh, Archer's still asleep." He whispers, lifting up my IV arm.
He gently takes the IV out and picks me up, I wrap my arms around his neck. He carries me out into the hallway and sets me down. I stretch out and thank the gods that Peter and Bucky understand me. We walk into the lounge room, Bucky is waiting for us.
"Your dad is coming back." He says. "Today."
