"This is ridiculous." I hear V murmur as he slides a knife into a tight pocket against his calf. He's clearly directing the comment to me— and I struggle to not fire back a venomous response.
All the seven are clad in black from head to toe— from their black masks to their all-black assassin garments. The only thing visible are their eyes as they scan the cruise, about to be filled with the corpses of men.
Since they didn't have something for me to wear, I'd just opted for a simple black shirt, dark jeans, and a mask to hide my face as well. Heart jumping with excitement, I tie my hair into a high ponytail to avoid it falling into my face.
Just looking at the cruise filled me with so much anticipation that I was already flickering in and out from the air.
"Alright," Jin says, clasping his gloved hands together. "Do we all have our priorities clear? First is Tzuyu's safety. Second is getting the target neutralized. And the best scenario would be to take the cruise itself. Don't get those mixed up."
After he'd chosen for me to go along, Jin had become my favorite out of the group. Now I was trying to keep from jumping up and down as I finger the handgun and the small blade strapped to my thigh. It was the exact that had stabbed into V's shoulder— and I wince as I recall the bitter memory.
"Twenty seconds until execution." Namjoon calls from the back, his face already solemn and prepared to kill. "Ten seconds until execution."
"Five."
When the five seconds run out, the men instantly break into a run for the cruise as the main doors slide open for quick inspection. Jin had told me that we only had exactly fifteen seconds to get in— and had given me specific instructions to stay with them. If I got lost, then that would end very badly for me.
I keep that in mind as I barely follow Jimin under the closing doors. V is already gone, and I already hear the cries of carnage where he's already arrived.
That must be the seventy men that Yoongi had been talking about.
The room where all the people are is large— like a ballroom. Like V had described to me a few days ago, he and Jungkook had already dived in for close combat— while Yoongi set himself back, pulling out a sleek gun that I guessed was deadly.
"Geronimo!" Jin yells as he pulls a bomb and hurls it toward the mass of guards swarming every inch of the room. Jimin pulls me along as he closes his hands around my ears for the deafening explosion that follows Jin's weird battle cry.
"We have to find the main control room so I can hack through the cameras." He hisses as I nod quickly, swept up in the excitement.
While the main battle is going on over in the ballroom, me and Jimin weave through the deserted hallways in the cruise to find what Jimin wanted. Without the cameras switched off, the others could be in big trouble.
The few times we run across one or two guards running for the ballroom, Jimin cuts them down so quickly I barely see the process. By the time I register, the guardsmen are already sprawled on the floor— either bleeding to death or already dead.
"Here, Tzuyu!"
Jimin gasps as he pulls me inside a small room, filled with the noise of technology and the drone of computers. Once we're both in, the watchmen inside shrieks as they frantically grab for their weapons.
By then, of course, they're too late.
Five quick shots ring out, silencing their cries of shock. The gunshots are followed by the slump of bodies as the five men that had been operating the cameras collapse to the ground.
