The cold water feels like that dark grey sky,
When I first read the letter of his last goodbye.
And this drive just feels like that endless chase,
Running after him, still I can't leave this place.
And I cannot sleep 'coz the truth is too real,
Nothing is real but the pain that I feel.
And I'll never dream coz I know this too,
A girl can't dream' coz dreams aren't true.
And I swore to never take another call,
Swore to never fly and never fall.
And I told myself that this is the end,
But there you were standing just around the bend.
And I ran away and you pulled me back,
And in your arms I cried and cried until I forgot.
And you said I'm never alone, but I could not see,
You were waiting all this time, just waiting for me.
Now you're down on one knee as you ask for my hand,
As you slide on my finger a diamond band
And I'll never forget the day I said yes,
Or the way that you kissed me in my wedding dress.
Now the cold water feels like that bright blue sky,
When I first got a glimpse of that kind sweet smile
And this drive feels like the end of the chase,
Not gonna run away 'coz I won't leave this place.
And I cannot sleep 'coz this cannot be real,
Nothing is real but the love that I feel.
But now I can dream coz I saw this too,
A girl can dream and dreams come true.
