After that weekend Anne and Foncey agreed that Dec could sleep over at Ants every weekend unless there was somewhere they needed to go,family visits for example.Anne and Foncey were just so desperate to keep Dec happy,his suicide bid always in the back of their minds.They even invited Ant over for dinner at least once a week,usually on a Friday.

Ant and Dec were beside themselves with excitement at the thought of spending the whole weekend together,every weekend.

As they laid in bed one Saturday night,Ant suddenly announced,

"Dec,I want you to move in with me!"

"What?" Dec wasn't sure he heard right,

"I want you to move in with me" Ant repeated.

Dec just sighed,Ant was surprised at his reaction,he'd been expecting a much more enthusiastic response,

"You don't want to?" Ant questioned sadly,

"Of course I want to,I want nothing more,but you know there's no way my parents would ever allow that,not while I'm still at school,I'm not even allowed to see you on a week night" Dec sighed and snuggled in close to Ants chest,

Ant kissed his forehead "I've thought about that baby and I think if we wait until you turn 18,you'll have finished school,will hopefully have a job and be an adult in every sense of the word"

"But that's nearly a year away" Dec moaned,

"I know,but it gives your parents plenty of time to get used to the idea and something for us to look forward to,surely your parents will be happy you'll still be so close?You could have move miles away" Ant smiled,

"True,I'm going to talk to them tonight" Dec replied,

"Good" Ant sighed and held Dec tight.

That evening when his family had finished dinner,Dec asked,

"Mam,Dad,can I talk to you please?"

Anne and Foncey looked concerned,

"What is it baby?" Anne asked with fear in her voice,

"Mam,it's nothing bad i promise please don't look so worried" Dec smiled,"it's just Ant has asked me to move in with him"

He scanned his parents faces,trying to read their thoughts,before quickly adding "when I turn 18"

"Oh sweetheart" Anne sighed "the thought of my baby moving out breaks my heart"

Foncey placed his hand over hers and smiled,

"That's just it darling,he's not a baby is he?he's an amazing young man and we can't treat him like our littlen forever"

"Why not?" Anne smiled through the tears welling up in her eyes.

Dec and Foncey both laughed at her.

"He's spreading his wings darling" Foncey stated "and he's found love,some people never find that their entire lives" he turned to Dec "I can't imagine not having you here,but we can't keep you with us forever as much as we'd like to,you're special Decky and we only want the best for you,we know how happy Ant makes you so you have our blessing"

Dec smiled at his Dad "thanks Dad" he grinned as he heard a sniffle coming from his mums direction,

"Oh Mam" he sighed,getting up and hugging her

"I'm sorry" Anne whispered "I just can't believe my baby is leaving home,I never imagined in a million years that you would be the first to fly the nest" she hugged Dec tightly and smothered his face in kisses,
