Chapter twenty

Tris pov
5 months later

"Mommy wake up" Tobias says slowly waking me up as he kisses my baby bump.

I turn to look at the clock and it's 5 in the morning on a Friday. Tobias has to leave for work soon but why is he waking me up. I start a shift at the diner at 10.

"Tobias why are you waking me up" I say annoyed

"I just wanted to hear your voice" he says and I giggle holding the side of his face and giving him a kiss.

"When did I get so lucky" I say pulling away from our kiss and he chuckles placing soft, warm kisses on my neck.

"I'm asking the same thing" he says and I giggle lifting his face to look at me.

"Have a good day at work, I'm going back to bed" I say pecking his lips and he sighs

"I still have an hour till I leave. A lot could get done in an hour" he says holding my waist and I push him away.

"No, no, no. Going back to bed" I say and he laughs leaving out bed. He runs over to me and leaves a kiss on my head and heads to take a shower.

I drop my last dirty dish into the sink and rip off my apron. Finally my work day is done. My feet are so swollen and my back aches. Perks of being pregnant and trying to make a little bit of extra money.

I'm walking to my car and I grab my phone to call Tobias.

"Hello beautiful" he answers on the second ring

"Hi" I giggle

"What plans do you have for dinner" I ask getting into my car and starting it.

"Want to go out" He ask

"Not really. My feet hurt so bad from work today, they are so swollen. I could really use a rub when you get home" I say

"Fine" he laughs

"I will pick something up on the way home" he says

"Can I please involve pickles" I say and he laughs on the other line

"Anything for you" He says and I giggle laying my head back.

"Thanks. I know I'm being such a pain but this pregnancy is really kicking my ass" I say

"I know. It's nothing compared to Li-" he starts to say but cuts himself off.

"It's okay you can say his name." I say as a sadness runs through me.

"But I can't" he says sadly back

"I miss him so much" he adds

"Me too" I say as a tear runs down my face.

"So I'll see you at home" he says and I sigh

"Love you" I say and he says it back, then we meet at home.

Tobias walks through the front door with bags of food for us for dinner tonight. I get up from the couch in the living room and run over to him to help him.

I'm shocked when I see what he brought home. He went out of town, 30 minutes away to my favorite bbq place. They have the best bbq pulled pork and Mac and cheese. He also brought home my all time favorite craving: fried pickles.

I take the bags from him and set them down, then attack him with a kiss.

"This looks amazing. Satisfies all of my cravings" I say wrapping my arms around his neck

"I knew you would like it. You've been working so hard I thought I would treat you" He says

"You always treat me good but I cannot believe you traveled out of your way to get this" I say

"It was nothing" he says and I giggle pecking his lips.

He leans in for another kiss and I gladly accept, deepening it. My hands start to unbutton his shirt and he chuckles.

"Are we doing this right now" He ask and I pull away annoyed.

"Well if you want to stop. Let's stop" I say and he quickly picks me up and takes us to the couch.

He pulls off his shift and I kick off my pants.

"When did food make you so horny" he says as he looks over me on the couch

"It's the pregnancy hormones" I giggle and we connect our lips back.

He trails down my neck and my hands unbutton his pants. He pulls them off and I take off my shirt, revealing my bump.

"You're bump is growing" he says placing soft kisses on it and I giggle

"I love seeing you pregnant" he adds and I roll my eyes playfully.

"Can you stop worrying about my bump for a second and on me." I say and he chuckles connecting our lips back to each other.

After we finish we lay on the couch sweaty and naked.

"That was fun" he says and I giggle, trying to still catch my breath.

"Couch sex is always fun" I say and he kisses my head

His strong arms stay wrapped around my waist as I snuggle closer to his chest.

"I need to quit the diner. It's really exhausting me to the point I can't even come home and do stuff. When I have the baby I can go back to school get my degree to become a teacher. Does that sound like a good idea? Should I go back to school" I ask him, looking up at him and he moves a strand of hair from my face.

"I just want you to be happy that's all I care about. If going back to school makes you happy then do it" he says

"I will probably stay on online classes for the general classes but some days out of the week I will have to go to an actual class" I say

"And I will be right here to support you" he says. I hold his face and lean up to give him a small passionate kiss.

"You're the best thing that has ever happened to me" I say and he runs his hand along my belly.

"I love you Beatrice prior" he says

"I love you Tobias Eaton. I can't wait to become Mrs. Eaton" I say

"Me too" he says and we lay there a few minutes longer, then change to eat our delicious food.
