Elliot's POV

I couldn't believe it but I really was enjoying spending time with Inna and her friends.

I'd run into the group several times throughout my two years of living here but I wasn't looking for friendship so it's not like we had ever interacted. I didn't know what Nicholas and Tracey's problems were with me and I didn't really care. As long as Inna wanted me around, I would be around, at least that's what I told myself.

As we watched their guys and girls go back and I forth I lightly ran my fingers up and down over her ribs. Inna shivered under my touch and it brought a smile to my lips.

"Fine, let's just agree to disagree," AJ said finally.

"You're all good friends from what I can tell. I don't think Inna would be your friend if you weren't," I said.

"Right," Inna said agreeing with me.

"What about you Nolan? You got any friends," Alex asked.

I laughed and finished the rum in my glass.

"Yeah, I got a couple of people I consider friends. We aren't as close as you all," I explained. "One I've known since childhood. The other I met when I moved here. And then Inna of course," I said.

"What kinda grown man only has two friends," Tracey asked with annoyance leaking back into her voice.

"The kind who probably fucks all of his friends' girlfriends and sisters," Nick said.

Inna flinched next to me.

"What the hell is your problem, Nick," Sierra asked with real irritation in her voice.

"This asshole assaulted my sister. My mom said Nicki came home with bruises on her throat and wrists while Inna is sitting here all hugged up with him like it's nothing," Nick said.

"What? What the hell are you talking about Nicholas? What did Nicki do this time," Sierra asked.

Inna had gone completely still next to me.

"Let me guess; Nicki's got piercings in almost every part of her body with a couple tattoos here and there," I paused and Sierra nodded. "Yeah, your sister practically begged me to fuck her anyway I wanted. Trust me I don't have to force myself on anyone. Your sister is just mad cause I didn't wanna exchange numbers afterward. I have witnesses too," I said in a tone that was calm, matter of fact and just a little condescending.

Tracey, Alex, Tasha, and AJ looked shocked. Nick looked like he was about to blow a gasket. Sierra just looked even more annoyed than before.

None of their expressions bothered me but I found that I was almost afraid to look at Inna's face. She hadn't moved away from me yet, so that was a good sign. She did however drain the rest of her Margarita.

Nick opened his mouth and I just knew he was going to say something disrespectful but Sierra stopped him.

She held her hand up and said, "Nicholas Smoak, I've been trying to tell you forever that your little sister is trashy and her friends are even worse. She told your mom that she was assaulted but I heard her bragging about how good the sex was to her stupid friends." Nick tried to argue but she cut him off with, "How many fights are you going to get into because Nicole keeps falsely accusing guys of doing stuff to her?"
