It had been a few weeks, we all kept training, and for some reason it felt right. Liam even seemed happier, even though most days he was stuck inside. It felt like we were finally a family after all that time we were together and apart. All of our lives just seemed happier, and more complete.

"So What are we going to do today?" I asked Pop as we ate breakfast. Liam and I had already eaten back at home, neither of us really wanted to drink Pops pig blood again
"I was thinking we might all go into the city and go shopping." Pop replied continuing to eat his food. A small smile appeared on my face, though I don't think anyone noticed but Liam, who smirked in return. I gave him a cheeky glare and started to daydream.

When everyone was finished we cleaned up and we all started to get ready. It took a while due to the fact that there was only 2 bathrooms on the whole block of land. When we were all finally ready, we all separated into 3 cars. It took us all 2 for all of us to get ready. Liam and I went in Nana and Pops car, Jake and Jackson went in Mums car and James, Kobi and Lily all went in Aunty Jesse's car. The car trip felt like forever, and it seemed too slow for my taste, using my speed was a lot better.

"So have you been to the shops" I asked Liam who was staring out the window. He looked at me and shook his head.
"No, what's it like." He asked still keeping eye contact.
"Well, it's a big place with stores everywhere, people, well, humans like to hang around there for most of their day." I said informatively. He nodded In understanding and turned to face out the window. He looked a little nervous, it looked like this was his first or second time in a car, it looked a little funny.

About 3 hours later we came to a stop. I stared out the window, in front of us was a large shopping mall. It had a huge car park, though it was almost full. There was plenty of green grass and trees around the area. We all hopped out of the cars and stared, I don't know about the others, but I haven't been to a place this big or crowded in years. I felt a little nervous, being this close to Soo many humans was worrying. What if I loosed control and hurt someone? I said in my head before following the others to the entrance.

"Okay, now I know it's been a while since you guys have been in contact with humans, well...apart from us. But just try to act normal and control yourselves." Nana said looking at all of us. We all nodded in agreement as we followed. Liam and I looked at each other with worried expressions before focusing on the sight in front of us. Cold air ran into us, it was enjoyable. Stores were everywhere, selling all different kinds of things, all different colours were everywhere.

Humans were everywhere I looked. I could hear every single one of their heart beats, breathing, and the blood flowing in their bodies. I reached my hand for my sword, I tried to feel for it, keeping my eyes on everyone, but I couldn't feel it. I let out a sigh of worry as the memory came back to me. Nana made us all leave our weapons at the house so that we didn't look too inconspicuous. I swallowed hard and continued to follow the others. Liam didn't look as effected by everyone, however I was a completely different story. I was totally panicking.

Mum decided to lead the way, as she started to head towards Big W. We all followed followed her and walked in. The store was huge and there was loads of stuff everywhere. All of the adults just looked at us kids as we stared in awe. They had smirks across their faces. I was still panicking, but I acted like I was fine, which seemed to be working. We walked through the store and chose something out that we liked, I chose a book series called "Demon Road." There was 3 books in the series altogether, all the books looked pretty interesting. I tired to get my mind off of everything by focusing on my new books, but it wasn't working.

After the others all chose something we headed out and went to another store, followed by another, and another, and another. I was about to lose my mind, I could hear practically everything. It was okay in the bush because it was calm and quiet and didn't have any humans, but here it was the exact opposite. I really did try to calm down, though I failed every time. Every instinct of mine was telling me to sink my fangs into everything that moves, and run.

We walked past a large store, I looked inside and I could see Kate and Ester laughing together, at nothing in particular as far as I could tell. My blood began to boil, here they were after years, and they never looked happier. Could their lives have gotten so much better since my departure. I stopped and stared at them angrily, ignoring everything around me. It was as if the whole world went silent, watching what I would do next.
